Ginger complaints

Those complaints are proof positive that there are people who need to a) get a life or at least b) do some bloody research before jumping off at the mouth. I got the reference to Ten's desire to be ginger right off the bat. Although it might have been funnier coming from Paterson Joseph! (The black actor who was thought to be a shoo-in to play Eleven at one point.)

Wow, of all the stupid things to complain about. I thought people complaining about the Jack bar scene was bad...

This is all pretty stupid. And to think, you all were once sailing around the world busy ruling it... pity. ;)

This is a good point actually, I've noticed since you became the world's greatest superpower that none of your countrymen have ever said or done anything stupid ever.

Please! We're a hundred times worse than you!!!

I don't think I've ever understood this.

How is being a redhead any different than being anyone else? I've never, ever heard of a defining line based on hair color. This is just.........weird.

And let's not start the pro/anti American/Brit thing again, okay? The only true difference between us is our accents. Even then, we have the deep South to combat your Welsh. So, going down that road of debate just exposes the cultural insecurities of both sides...

I shudder to think at the witty writing that would have been employed had the 11th Doctor been played by a person of color, and at the shockingly offensive letters of complaint that would likely have flooded the BBC.

This is why people should not be allowed to send in complaints about TV because 99.99% of them are fucking ridiculous  The 10th Doctor at the start of his era expressed regret he wasn't ginger and people think the show is ANTI GINGER ? despite the fact we've had Donna Noble and now Amy Pond as characters.

FFS :scream:

I wonder if that women who got Tesco to remove a Christmas card from its stores on the grounds it was offensive to red heads has anything to do with this.
Dam this means top gear is going to have to try twice as hard to get some free publicity from the daily fail.

I want to live in a world where a line from a tv show is the only thing I have to complain about. Thesepeople really need a good Gibbs headsmack.

Could be worse though. If a few people complain in the US a studio usually trips over itself to delete the line. And the FCC often gets involved.

If this sort of thing is allowed to happen, why have all the people in the world without a head not complained about the infamous Nine line "imagine me with no head!"? Clearly offensive. These people need to have their voices heard!

Do those without a head have a voice?

They can't have their voices heard. They have no mouth.
