Finally Getting in the Spirit of Christmas

I absolutely loathe my job with every ounce of my being and it has really been bumming me out over the Xmas holidays. Only resolution is to have a new one sometime next year sooner rather than later.

I'm sad too. I'm stuck home alone on Christmas with no food (except for frozen pizza and Honey Nut Cheerios) because of the damn snowdrifts. :(

Jetfire, I think this is the emoticon you (and I) are looking for: :wah:

I had to work from 12:30 to 9 last night so that wasn't fun. I'm not sure really what this "spirit of Christmas" is because I never really go all out and all christmasy. I don't like the whole Christmas music, but love going to church on Christmas eve. It's a special day, sure, but let's not get too over-emotional.

It really felt like Christmas when watching the traditional EastEnders special.

There's nothing like affairs, break-ups, tales of rape & unwanted pregancy, alcoholism, breaking & entering and a murder to make me feel truly festive. Sort of like the Gospels, done right. :D

I'm getting better now. I've spent the whole day shovelling snow, but it's good honest labor. Felt very energetic doing it. And I actually had a friendly conversation with my (IMHO, absolutely batshit insane) neighbor to the north, so I figure that's gotta count for something.

No one with big puppy eyes crying would have been the one.

Raven_Shayde, TY :)

That and Doctor Who made my Christmas TV. I'm saying it was Beale. I was right about Darren, I hope to be right about this!

I reckon it was Peggy. I hear she's leaving the show at some point next year anyway, so it would fit!

She's leaving? Boo-urns! I'm just hoping it's none of the Mitchel's, too obvious a choice. That and I'd love Beale to grow a set. Can't be Phil, he spent half the episode pretending to be hard in the cellar.

Of course, there is the problem of everyone showing up at the same time. They could do a Brookside and have had everyone join in and kill Archie as a group effort.

Just watching a Morecambe and Wise repeat on BBC Two. Christmas has truly arrived now. :bolian:

It felt like Christmas on Christmas Eve when I went over to my parents place and put in A Very Special Christmas! Have to listen to it at least once with the family along with "Christmas Wrapping" and "Last Christmas" and the Bryan Adams Christmas song (Something, Something Christmas time lol).

I think so, though not for a few months more. It'll be a different Square with Peggy, that's for sure.

Watching yesterday's episode, I had a sneaky thought that it might be Stacey's mother. She could have overhead Bradley & Stacey's conversation earlier in the day, and gone to the Vic to talk to Archie and when opportunity arose... :D

It's going to be someone unexpected, I think, so she's as good a bet as any.

That DID kind of cross my mind.
