Most beautiful ships in Trek?

You_Guyz

Commander
Seriously, these Enterprise era Vulcan ships made me want to orgasm.
Whenever I was watching Enterprise, I would pray Vulcans would pop up for some contrived reason just so I could see their beautiful ring ships.

Such beauty :D

Not to mention:

Of all the ships that Trek has shown us over the decades, I still think the original series Enterprise takes first place.

Although I will admit that those ENT-era Vulcan ring-ships are interesting. :)

In order:

1) TOS Enterprise
2) Refit Enterprie / 1701-A
3) Romulan Warbird (TNG)
4) 1701-E
5) Defiant
6) Voyager
7) Enterprise era Romulan BOP

I have to give the prize to TMP Enterprise.
After that, I'd give it to the Enterprise-E,
Intrepid-class,
and good ol' K'Tinga-class battle cruiser.

Other ships I like, but don't think are particularly beautiful are the Nebula and Miranda classes.

I must confess I never really liked the Vulcan ring-ships. I personally found them rather drab. I hated the design of the Defiant-class. Although I have no trouble accepting it in the logic of the narrative. It's easy to believe a government would build something that ugly, IMHO.

I just finished gathering up a group of beauty shots for my new jigsaw app, and the selection menu rotates through them like a slide show. Some are made from meshes, and some are just clipped from Trekcore screencaps. Here's a new shot of the Defiant:

Excelsior first. Then I think the refit Constitution and the Sovereign. I also like the Galor and the D'Deridex.

1) Galaxy
2) Sovereign
3) Nova
4) Nebula
5) Luna (If I'd have to pick a canon ship, it be the Excelsior)

I'm doing a lot of this: :wtf: in this thread, seeing ships I that I think are positively ghastly. But, hey, beauty is subjective, right?

I'd have to put the TMP refit E on top, with the ol' gray lady in second place, and the 1701-D in third.

The Vulcan ships from Enterprise are also very beautiful, like fine art sculptures.

Nothing Cardassian will ever be on my list .

I don't get those people who put the TOS E on the top of their list. It looks like a toy, even from the inside.

For me it's between Enterprise-A and Enterprise from the new movie. I guess the latter is a controversial pick, since so many people are bitching about "Abramsprise", but I have no interest in endless debates over its size, I just think it looks beautiful.

The shot of the nuE you have there is the one I kinda don't like so much, going back to the "proportions" gripe. It looks too "front heavy" for me there too.

This is the shot makes it for me.

I assume the OP was asking the question based on external ships' appearance, not the internals. Here's my aesthetic list for external appearances:

1: pre-TOS Enterprise ("Where No Man Has Gone Before" version
2: TOS Enterprise
3: TMP K'T'inga
4: pseudo-TOS-era Spitfire by Starscape
5: Probert's original Enterprise-C, as seen on the wall in the E-D's lounge
6: NX-Alpha
7: Sisko's Defiant
8: TNG Romulan Warbird (illogical looking, but fun to look at)
9: DYellow submarine
10: TMP Vulcan warpsled-courier

This is my thrown-together list, with no regard to what's canon and what isn't.
