Why will YOU boycott the next movie?

If all the old-line Trek fans who claim they won't see the next one actually don't see it... the net effect on box office will be trivial.

After 40 some odd years (some of them very odd), it is high time they canonized K/S slash. I will boycott unless my demands are met!

I will boycott this film if there is any hint of participation by Diane Warren or Russel Watson - or any hint of the song Faith of the Heart.

They have to establish that Archer's beagle has been rescued and is safe. This is such a massive dissing of Star Trek Enterprise that I've started an Internet petition to protest it. Plus, it should be against the law to even talk about something bad happening to a pet or child in any novel or movie or tv show...it makes me sad and I'm entitled not to have to ever be even glancingly exposed to such stuff. The joke ruined this movie and Gene Roddenberry is spinning in his grave.

I let them get by with it the first time, but if Urban's hair isn't parted on the LEFT side this time, they're not getting my money. Big deal, he wore a ring like Kelley did. Big deal, he seemed to be channeling Kelley's McCoy as his inspiration. PART YOUR HAIR ON THE CORRECT SIDE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! :scream:

I'll boycott it if it doesn't have William Shatner.

In addition to having William Shatner, it should also have Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols and Walter Koenig, and during the course of the film they must rise to the occasion to replace the new cast.

Also, Karl Urban and Simon Pegg are replaced by reconstructions of DeForest Kelley and James Doohan. But these must be done with modelwork and animatronics standard in the 1970s or it'll look terrible. Also, no CGI at all.

Need younger fresher faces you ask? Fine. Get Kirstie Alley for Saavik, she's young enough.

The film's score should be composed entirely of music from the original series with maybe the odd Jerry Goldsmith cue. Recycling it worked fine for the show so it'll look good on the screen.

And the lighting... NO MORE LENS FLARE! I want bright, strongly defined 1960s TV lighting setups. I want bright colours! And also Vulcan should be un-destroyed somehow, probably in a plot involving the planet's katra.

If all of these demands aren't met I won't see the movie.

I will soooooooooooo boycott this film if Pine's eyes aren't recoloured to appear Hazel!!!!!

And the bridge better be offset by 36 degrees!!

I will boycott it if I die. I've never missed an episode or movie and I don't intend to start anytime soon.

Besides, if I don't see it, how will I know it's crappy enough to whine about on this forum?

After having watched Avatar yesterday, I now will boycott the next movie if it isn't filmed in 3D ;)

Inspired by a couple of other threads in this section, I wondered what the daftest reason you could think of for boycotting the next JJ film would be?

I, for one, won't be seeing the next film if they don't make a Tribble Captain the lead villain.
I will not boycott the next film, but if it sucks like this last one I will be coming on here just to piss you folks off!

I wanted to come up with something clever but i can't think of a thing...you guys have said it all! You guys are hilarious!!!!! Thank you!!! :rommie:

As someone here once put it... I will boycott it after the credits have rolled, until the next viewing when I will unboycott it then boycott it again at the end of the film.
