Love, Actually :)

I first saw this on television with my mom one night while I was recovering from my second foot surgery in the summer time. I missed the first half of the film but loved the second half. I love these large ensemble films that have interconnecting characters and stories (even on a loose) and it all gets tied up nicely at the end. Also I think it's a great Christmas movie, everyone's great in this film. Anyone else like it and has anyone else watched it in the last week?

It's one of my guilty pleasure movies but I haven't watched it in the last week. I fell in love with Keira Knightley in this movie.

I do wish they worked more of the idea they had for Atkinson being a sort of Christmas angel, which you don't get as the movie is, he just seems to randomly appear at the end of the movie.

Yeah he seems to appear at the end of the movie solely to make sure that Sam is able to get pass the check in guy. Hugh Grant is brilliant as the young Prime Minister and the scene where he sticks up to Billy Bob Thorton as the President after he hits on Natalie is great. I think I like Sam, Joanna, Daniel and Carol's story the best. Alan Rickman is awesome in this movie and you gotta feel for Emma Thompson's character though. Jamie and Auerila's story is maybe my second favorite, and I feel for Sarah's tug of responsibly for her brother. She has sacrificed her needs for her brother. Colin's funny (remember the dude played Nick in My Family). Awesome movie.

I am hoping that Gary Marshall's upcoming ensemble "Valentine's Day" will be equally as good as this movie is. It's been a guilty pleasure film of mine since I first saw and it wasn't this summer that I saw it was last summer.

There's nothing guilty about that pleasure. Love, Actually is a great movie, and a holiday tradition at my house.

I watched this film for the first time ever. Sad I know. Not sure why I had never seen it before. But the film was great. My sister was surprised that I was watching it, and didn't think it was a film I liked. Loved it.

One of my favourite Christmas movies, though the Neeson story is a bit less enjoyable given recent events (though we also saw a Billy Mack-esque non-Christmas song just take the Christmas #1 too).

Definitely my favorite rom-com... and not only because it was the first date movie for me and my fiancee :D

My wife looooves it. So, we tend to watch it at least once every Christmas. Rickman, Emma, and Hugh are brilliant. But, I think we can all agree that Bill Nigh steals the show... :techman: :)

I adore this film. I usually don't like romance comedies that don't star Meg Ryan but this film is absolutely smashing. And yes, Bill Nighy stole the show.

I really liked it the first time I saw it. I went as far as to call it 'The Pulp Fiction of romantic comedies', because I loved the ensemble cast and all the interlocking stories. The second time I saw it, I soured on it big time. I thought it was extremely corny and contrived and the only thing I still really liked was the Bill Nighy character, who is the only character that has any kind of edge and good lines. I loved his one-liners and interactions with his manager, but the rest of the characters irritated me with their corniness. Bah, humbug. :p

It is one of my favorite movies and I'm in the group that does not, as a rule, like romantic comedies. I, too, love ensemble movies where everything comes together at the end.

On the other hand, I don't quite think Valentine's Day is going to be on the same level. I'm detecting a distinct degree of fail from that movie.

It's one of my favorite flicks -- especially around this time of year.

I feel so bad for Laura Linney's character, and even though she's married to The Operative, I think I'd risk pitching a little woo at Keira Knightly, too.
