Holiday Greetings from TrekBBS! (.mp3)

Love ZR's accent :techman::techman:
I know. He has a beautiful accent.

It made my knees melt. *sigh* And Emher's is wonderful too.

Excellent job Flukie! The music from the Peanuts is one of my all time favorites. Add the TOS sound effects and we monkeys to the mix...

... awesome.

Happy Holidays everybody!

Very interesting, the way the sound effects work with the jazzy music--kinda gives me an avant garde sort of feel, that even reminds me of a Medeski Martin and Wood type song. Plus, you get some really neat visual imagery of people coming out of different parts of the ship, or having their signals brought in from different parts of the galaxy.

I still can't get used to hearing my own voice on tape, though. The rest of you guys sound great! ;)

TrekkieDane sounds like a radio DJ.

AstroSmurf and Tom Rudolph - you guys have nothing to worry about, you absolutely do not sound like the Chipmunks! You both have lovely deep voices.

A wonderful Christmas recording - thanks for putting it together, Flukie!

Ha, that was my fear, that I'd be the Chipmunk on the recording. I definitely spent some careful time leveling everything before I sent it to Flukie to make sure I wouldn't sound like I was sucking helium! ;)

BTW, just for the record, I want to establish that I am only fluent in TWO of the languages I spoke in that recording. And as much as I love tinkering with it, no...Cardăsda is not one of them. ;)

I hate the sound of my own voice. I don't know how anyone can stand hearing me talk. So that's why mine isn't in there. :alienblush:

That was a question I meant to ask - how many languages were in yours, Nerys?

Thank you dear! I guess I am so used to hearing this very deep baritone when I listen to myself. Then I actually hear myself and I am shocked at how high it sounds.

That was wonderful! Everyone sounds terrific, and Flukie, nice touches to a great piece of music. Oh, and agreed about ZR. The only one who I knew it was right away without hearing her name was TSQ. For some reason, she sounds exactly how she looks, which is very adorable. :D

What a great job by everyone. By the way, did anyone else know RJ has an accent? I always imagined something grapey, but I was quite surprised! :D

Santa Smurf, maybe it's just my hearing, but we sound a lot a like. At first I thought you were me until I realized I didn't say the words I thought were being said by me. :D

Oh, I don't know, I just feel very good and the greeting lifted my spirits a great deal. I love you all and want you all to have a wonderful holiday season!

J.

That was really nice Flukie. Job well done.:techman:

RJD, what is your accent?

After hearing Crusher Disciple's message I have never regretted not being sexy more.:sigh:

Love it! Fantastic job :techman:

Great! I loved the Peanuts music. As for ZR, I thought he sounded like Dr. Bashir, from DS9.

Trekkiedane, you have a great voice, too...actually, everyone sounded great. Since I didn't have the equipment to send my voice this year, everyone have a happy and peaceful holiday, whichever holiday you celebrate.

Cardăsda--A conlang I created for my fanfic series, Star Trek: Sigils and Unions.

English

German

Spanish (And yes, I did switch into Spanish in the middle of a sentence.)

Then back to English.

If anyone wants, I can provide a transcription.
