Comic Con 2010 Already Selling Out

Dark Gilligan

FYI for those who are planning to attend and haven't yet visited the website. All four-day passes to next year's Comic Con International (edited: San Diego, July 22-25) have been sold out for a good month now. And as of this morning the Saturday single-day passes are more than 90% gone as well.

If you're attending, buy your passes like now. I'm opting out for the first time in years but my son is going. Got his registration just in time.

Although I'm pretty certain I know which ComicCon you're talking about, it might not hurt to be specific, as there's also the New York Comic Con (they even share the same logo).

It has happened in spite of the recession and a price increase for 4-day passes.

Yep, people started reserving tickets for the following year while the current Comic Con is going on due to the special events & celeb turn out growing larger & larger every year.

Saturday is now sold out. Friday is holding steady at at 40%, Thursday and Sunday at 20% each.

New rules as well this year when hotel reservations open up in March. The first night will be charged up front via credit card when the reservation is made. This is required. No reservation will be processed without a deposit.

^Let me guess, the Twilight panel is on Saturday this year.

I think Saturday going first is how it works out. Last year the days sold out in the order of Saturday, Friday, Sunday, Thursday.

I'm just going by the fact that huge numbers of teenage girls turned up on the day Twilight's panel was on and then sold their passes outside after it was finished.

FYI, I attended my first Comic-Con this year and I got the tickets about a month before the show. The Comic-Con had a special promotion through Ebay. I wouldn't count on it, but I wouldn't give up hope either.
