Fox News: 120% Of The Public Thinks Scientists May Falsify GW Data

The clients' standards are whatever they say they are. When they make the rules, they can choose the standards.

Many self professed Christians do not follow Christ's moral standard. They are often judgmental bigots. Proud, judgmental bigots with flexible morality. They bring shame to God's name.

Correct on the first part. But the customers of the client KNOW what the standards the client sets are. The only difference now is a fancy green seal. How is that in any way a problem?
If the customers know what the standards are, then there is no purpose to having the seal. Therefore the seal is there to impress those that do NOT know the standards, and do not know that the company itself sets that standard. It's deceit.

On your second point, ALL people fail at one point or another to live up to God's standard. Every single one. The difference is that Christians at least have that set standard, so they know when it's not lived up to.
No, the difference is that Christians should not be proud of their failure - hence the perpetual, unrepentant hypocrisy.

Wrong again. The seal is there as a marketing tool. The company's standards are clearly evident on their web site and MSDS is readily available. Creating a seal is in no way deceitful, but it may help show the customer that the company takes the environment seriously.

Your second point makes no sense.

Your second point makes no sense.
Since the company sets the standards by which it is awarding itself the seal, it says nothing about how 'seriously' the company takes the environment.

As to my second point, your response is predictable.

Apparently their customers disagree with you. :)

These would be the customers that think the seal has some meaning? Yeah. Thought so.

Well maybe you should lead the charge and expose a series of messages that disprove the whole thing? Where have I seen this before?!!!!!

No need. After all, it isn't like the tobacco companies learned anything when they set up their standards, did they?

"Smoking is perfectly safe, see? We have our very own experts to tell us so..."

Cuban minister says Obama "imperial, arrogant"

HAVANA, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Cuba accused U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday of being "imperial, arrogant" and dishonest during last week's global climate conference in the latest sign of deteriorating relations between Havana and Washington. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said in a televised press conference that Obama lied during the United Nations summit in Copenhagen and is making a habit of it after less than a year in office. "He lies all the time, deceives with demagogic words, with profound cynicism," Rodriguez told reporters. "In this summit there was only an imperial, arrogant Obama who doesn't listen, who imposes positions that even threaten developing countries," he said.

So much for the image of the Rock Star President. I figure by the end of next year, the rest of the world will have clued in that he's an arrogant idiot.

Since when as fox news given a damn what Cuba has said about anything?

And what would they be saying if it had been said about Bush or anything other Republican president? Something tells that you sure as fuck woulnd't be posting it and faux news would be ranting about the commies taking pot shots as the U.S President.

Gentlemen, the watchword for today is : hypocrisy

When Hugo Chavez was talking shit about GWB and the USA I heard mention of sending in the Marines to make sure the coup that would be necessary to remove him from power went smoothly.

Now they're using communist dictators as a moral and political compass. I hope for Obama's sake Kim Jong Il II doesn't come out against him this week for a double whammy to his political career.

I'm sorry, did you just quote the Cuban foreign minister's position on a US president as evidence of anything except the fact that Cuba and the US haven't exactly been BFFs over the past fifty years?

The fact that at no time you stopped yourself and said "Maybe I shouldn't post this because people might never take me seriously about anything ever again" is fantastic, and I like that about you. :techman:

I can't believe Cuba, of all places, turned against us. I guess I'll have to vote Republican from now on.
