Holy crap. I am losing my mind!

Please make me feel better. Tell me some of the dumb things you've done lately that makes you worry if you're losing YOUR mind as well!

Well I had a clothes related dumb moment recently.

I was away for about a week on business-pleasure.
I returned home, emptied my suitcase with all the dirty clothes, had them washed etc etc.
A week later for some reason I had to move the suitcase and discovered I had forgotten a bunch of used underwear & socks in a side pocket...

Yes, that smelled nice.:klingon:

Oh, about washing? I've read that lemon juice removes the smell of vinegar--and vanilla removes the smell of lemon juice. Not swearing as to accuracy.

I was working on a computer, using all my micro tools, installed a video card and a sound card, installed some RAM, and closed up the box, looked up and I still had it plugged into the wall and had been running the whole time.

That sounds really safe and not electrocuty at all.

I have gotten into the bath a few times with my glasses on.
Also have taken my glasses off just for a second why i wash my face and have totally forgot where i put them.

I watch all my shows on the web now. I had to turn the tv on the other day for the weather, it's been so long that I've used it, I forgot how to turn it on. :alienblush:

Worried about my penis now.

That's a joke.

Shut up.

I went through my house at least five times looking for a pack of batteries that I knew were lying around somewhere. I finally found them lying in plain sight on my desk. I had looked at that desk NUMEROUS times thinking surely they were there somewhere.

I'm convinced I have personal gremlins who delight in messing with my head. ;)

I am overjoyed by the number of people who also lose things in their refrigerators.

I've lost my glasses and found them in the freezer. I've yet to figure out how it happened.

Just a little while ago went downstairs to the basement to put up a load of wash only to discover a load i did last week STILL in the washer. WET. And now it STINKS to high hell! It has been sitting in the washer, wet, for at least 4 days.

I redid the load (IT STILL SMELLS) and now i have it going through the dryer. I put about 6 dryer sheets in there with the load.

It's times like these that i really wonder if i am totally losing my mind!

I hope i get the smell out of that load of clothes AND i hope the washer doesn't continue to stink as well!

My car has one of those remotes that locks and unlocks the doors. One day I left my apartment, and pushed the button on the remote to lock my apartment door. I got all the way out of the building, stopped and realized what I had done, and then had to go back in and actually lock the door with my key.

I am very forgetful and loose things all the time. At this point I know better than to spend money on a cellphone or a pair of sunglasses. They will either get left at a restaurant, bar or shopping mall.

As for my "Losing My Mind" moment... I used to own two cars. I bought a new one but kept the old one for driving in the snow or hauling things around. Well one afternoon I went to a huge shopping outlet malls to pick-up some things. After I was done with my shopping I went out to the parking lot and couldn't find my car. So naturally I thought I had gotten the entrance confused. I then spent the next hour going from entrance to entrance trying to figure out where I had parked. I finally got spooked and weirded out that I may or may not be trapped at the mall so I called the boyfriend to come pick me up. When he pulled up to the entrance where I was waiting, he gently pointed out that I had driven the old car and it was parked on the second row over from where I was standing. He had passed it when drove in. I have never felt more like a complete flake in all my life. I can memorize entire play scripts in an hour or coordinate an entire wedding and reception for 300 people but I can't find my own car? I think it is the universe's way of balancing the playing field.

I ran a red light at an intersection because I was looking at the green light at the NEXT intersection. I'd say that was pretty stupid, but at least there were no accidents.

I also bought a brand new PlayStation 3 on impulse during Black Friday... even though I already have one.

I find the entire notion completely absurd.

What? It's totally understandable.

A person has an item in their left hand. They open the fridge with their right hand. They reach into the fridge, PUT THE ITEM DOWN IN THE FRIDGE, and pick up the desired food--leaving the original item in its place. (Change the hands used as applicable.)

I did not do this, but I found my sister's keys one time by reasoning this out. She thought I was a frakkin' genius. I was just pulling a Sherlock Holmes based on what she said (had keys, went to get a soda, lost keys).
