Mass Effect 2 voice cast revealed...

I like all of those women and the characters they play from what little I've seen. Hell, throw in some dudes, I don't give a shit. They should let you romance them all instead of sticking to just the human/blue human ones. Why can't I romance the ship or Tali or a Geth or something?

Hmmm... the creepy half Asari/half Turian chick's obviously romancable from her dialogue.

Not that I particularly want to romance an Elcor or Hanar or Volus, if there's enough people out there to warrant a beastiality sub-genre of porn, you just know there's going to be people in the far future up for cow man/jelly fish/mole man hijinks.

Because the video game world is still stuck in the childish mentality that you can't have a romance without sex, and so they don't think two people of physically incompatible species would be capable of romancing one another.

Didn't you see the educational video? Don't date robots!!

Or, most players probably wouldn't be interested in such options and there's a limited amount of time, budget and disc space to make a game with.

I was including players in "the video game world."

Okay. Point still stands; you cannot have an infinite amount of fully fleshed out options in a game. In any commercial media product, you have to pick your battles.

True enough. I was totally cool with my romance options as a male in Mass Effect, though (well, except that Liara was really boring), I was just trying to argue from the female side of it. I know Garrus was way more popular than Kaidan.

Oh, and on the voice cast, I'll just say what I already said on another forum: Beware - impending nerdgasm. :techman:

I completely agree with you, but considering how Fox News lambasted them for the "graphic lesbian sex scene" (there was a flash of ass ) in the first game I can understand Bioware not wanting to poke the bear by having two dudes get it on. So what we need to do in burn down all FNC buildings and we can finally get some gay Turian action. :techman:

Except I wont, I'm going to stick with being a straight guy and a lesbian woman. :p

Liara is monogendered!

Which is there way of saying there's no gay elf sex in Mass Effect... only in Dragon Age!

Another point along the same line, what's up with not continuing the romance options from the previous game? Baldur's gate had the same problem here. Romances didn't carry game to game beyond a few lines here or there. The romance options didn't remember anything that happened in the prior games. Infuriating and immersion breaking.

Why must my characters be whores in Bioware games? "In love" with whatever piece of ass wanders by? I can't be monogamous? Or at least have a semi-stable relationship one game to the next? It has to have collapsed/been dropped unceremoniously? Why?

Ashley, Liara or Kaiden don't have to be on my team anymore, I guess, though that sucks, but I foresee the romances from ME1 being either ignored or failed in order to open the way for whatever new character the game designers have a hardon for.

Maybe I'm jumping the gun here and we'll be given the option of blatantly remaining in the relationship with the off-screen characters instead of metagaming a solution and just not choosing to romance new characters, but the one ending montage I've gotten for Dragon Age so far already ended my Heroine/Liliana romance in an on-screen paragraph for absolutely no reason whatsoever, except that Bioware is apparently afraid of fictional relationships.

WTF, I say. WTF?

^ Yeah I gotta agree. I definitely want to continue my relationship with Ashley in ME2. Though... a threesome with Ashley, Yvonne's character from ME2, and Shepherd would kick all sorts of ass. :D

You're absolutely right, of course. I also wish Ashley was a lesbian option, 'cause I like my renegade female Shep better than my lilly white male Shep. And I always felt they'd make a great couple.

And a f/f/f sci-fi threesome would be supremely awesome.

Well, there's the BADASS BIOTIC BITCH girl who straddles male Shepard. I'm sure she's the token bisexual character in the game this time around.
