Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II in 2010!

Guh. Didn't they fire everyone who worked on the first game?

I kind of hope they outsource this to someone - Raven, please - but I doubt they'll abandon their tech like that.

Wait, how do you follow up to that game, I mean really. Wasn't the end of that game pretty I don't know definate?

Just saw this and cannot believe it!!! I just put part one down for good, after playing it thru repeatedly on the PSP and PS3 over the last eight months. Now I've gotta gear up for a sequel. :wtf:

Trailer supposed to be up by Monday. http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed2/

Here is the trailer.

I'm surprised by this. I thought the game was generally met with disappointment. It must have had great sales. At least Doomsday is getting work.

I guess it depends on who you ask. I've read a lot of negativity about it but I've also seen so many stellar reviews. Obviously I loved the game (PSP version especially), best game I bought in 2009. Guess this will hold me, hopefully, until SWTOR comes out.

I never heard that. The game was generally cheered. I thought the game was really great, (except for the star destroyer part).

Yeah, I did enjoy TFU1, it only had a couple annoyances, such as the targeting system and that horrid Star Destroyer section (which was ironic since that was one of the most hyped sections).

Hopefully they'll improve things for TFU2.

Agreed. The PSP version skipped the Star Destroyer, featuring just a cut scene showing him do it. Overall the PSP version was more complete to me. Part of the story took you to Cloud City, featuring the only Gungan I liked in Kleef, and a Mandalorian in Chop'aa. There was also the Force Duels mode and Order 66 mode. Not to mention the trials at the Jedi Temple were part of the main story. I hope they bring this to the PS3 version in part two.

Spoilers if you haven't played the DLC or finished the game...

Well, if you go Light Side, he could have survived, maybe, and Palps puts him in some dungeon ship somewhere. Sure, he's lying there all dead looking, but so was Vader just a few moments earlier in the game. With the Dark Side Infinities version, which they've already expanded upon with the DLC and Ultimate edition, you can continue into Return of the Jedi territory and beyond.

I'd go with bringing down Prince Xizor and Black Sun, maybe taking inspiration form that Maul comic and you have to get some Thrawn in there somewhere, too. Mara jade and all that and whatever Darth Fallen Luke is gonna be, etc.

Taking on Yoda would be crazy-cool. Burn that Dagobah swamp to the ground. Or maybe he comes out of hiding to try and train Leia and save the Rebellion. All kinds of cool shit to do.

I seriously can't wait for this to come out. It's a great game with a fun story and zero prequel connections, which is bonus for me.

I can't wait. The first game was a lot fun, even for all of it's bugs. I hope that they tackle this like AC II did, getting rid of some of the clunkiness. I thought that the first game had the best story of all the games in 2008 (and one of the best Star Wars stories ever), so I am looking forward to seeing it continue.

Plus more Crashdown is always nice.

Fool me once... and all that.

I'll wait for the Ultimate Gungan Edition. Or whatever they end up calling it.

I got the first game extremely cheap (about seven bucks in a bargain bin at Target) and had very low expectations, so I enjoyed it quite a bit on the 360. I do think that had I paid full price I would have found it lacking.

The concept was good, though, so perhaps they can improve it in the sequel. Still, it's one I'll definitely wait for the reviews on before getting excited.

I hope they release this game before The Old Republic comes out. Otherwise there's a chance I may not get around to playing it.
