Rare Photos for December 2009!

Frontier

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Hey folks, its the first of the month! Which means Rare Photos time! I've also got a special treat for you.

In my collecting of these rare photos, I often time come across rare photos that don't make the cut due to their size. IE, they are too small.

Well this month, I've decided to publish a set of these images in what I'm calling a "Stocking Stuffers" BONUS edition of rare photos! So at mid-month, when I put up the Ultimately Human special, there will also be a link to that bonus edition. :)

Ooohhh yeah! This also marks the crossing of a threshold! This edition puts the total number of rare photos up over 1,000! :techman:

Check Them Out!

My Favorites:
2nd Row, Right: Cast and Creator Photo from the Nu Abrams Star Trek.

4th Row, Left: De Kelley gets a make-up touch-up between takes on Wrath of Khan.

6th Row, Center: High Quality Publicity photo of William Shatner as Admiral Kirk from Star Trek III.

Page 2
1st Row, Right: Behind the Scenes photo of Dabo Girl M'Pella from DS9 in slinky see-thru outfit. (Don't worry, it's SFW)

3rd Row, Right: Reman soldier lights up a smoke on the back-lot of Nemesis.

6th Row, Center: The TOS Trinity, Perhaps Recording Lines for TAS. I can't think of much else they'd be doing together in a sound booth in the early 1970s, can you? :p

Which Ones Are Your Favorites?

As always, Frontier, great job with these. :) The one of the TNG people with the cake amused me: none of 'em seemed particularly impressed! My favourite is the one with Shatner, Nimoy and Kelley recording.

Many thanks for the update!Ironically, I was just watching the new film again the other day, and the extras, one in which had the whole cast-in their new Fleet uniforms, rather than the well-seen Cadet and etc publicity photos, were gathered for photo ops, wishing I had a pic of that. Cool.Trekcore is a great site!!Also, great to have that nice pub shot of Chris in uniform in The Chair!!But topping them is a new one I have never seen of My Favorite Ocampa, Kes!Excellent! And 'Kotay. Give Frontier three bars of gold-press latinum.

No one's ever seen that one of Kes. Or a few others of the Voyager cast. I've got a bunch of promo photos that where, for various reasons, rejected and thus never published. :)

I just wish they'd put them out in standard format, not thumbnails...so, Frontier, does this mean you have ones not shown at Trekcore of Voyager?

Thanks for these! I was glad to see the DS9 still from "Melora" cos I just went Daphne Ashbrooke last week-end at Chicago TARDIS.

I've got more "never before seen" from Voyager, yes. At least 1 an issue for the foreseeable future.

I mean, it is called "rare photos" right? ;) Gonna have rare stuff, I figure. :p ;)

Always awesome, Frontier!! I love the cast photos from the new movie. Also the behind the scenes ones are always a treasure.

I really got a kick out of the Phase II lighting test on the second page. :techman:

Me too. I've never seen any photos like that from Phase II.

I think there are about a half-dozen photos out of Phase II. Some test footage which can be seen on the TMP DVD. But even with a book about it, there is so little visual info on it beyond story-boards and such. Though, some of the TMP PB photos are -- I think -- late stage phase 2 photos, when they'd opted not to re-use the original uniforms. Not 100% on that.
