Can anyone who's purchased either of the 'Best Of' DVDs if the four episodes on each disk are the original version of the show, or the Remastered version with the new CGIs? And are the eps uncut?

Just curious what the quality on these are.

Thanks in advance. :)

I actually both dvds and to me they look like remasterd, but cant remmber for sure. I havent watched the second dvd yet, I guess because have the seasons on blu ray and thats what I have been watching. I plan on buying season 3 of the series when it comes out on blu ray. I will still buy The Best Of The Orginal Series dvd that way I can watch it on my laptop when I go on trips. And I can watch the blu rays at home. I hope the next dvd they release of The Best Of The Orginal Series has some episodes from the 3rd season.

Anyone notice the ridiculous misprint on the back of Volume 2?

WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE
Warp speed goes wild when a Starfleet propulsion expert and his alien assistant come aboard the Enterprise to increase efficiency. The ship mysteriously rockets to an area previously unexplored by humans. Now in danger at the edge of the universe, the crew must uncover the link between space, time, and travel if they hope to make it back alive.

Obviously, someone grabbed the text description for the wrong series, as this is clearly the description for the TNG episode with the similar title, "Where No One Has Gone Before."

Ooops.

Armed with the knowledge these were remastered eps, I finally picked up a copy, but haven't had a chance to sit down yet to enjoy it. That is pretty odd though, with the TNG episode description on the back. I'm not sure I would've noticed that if it hadn't been pointed out here.

How much ya wanna bet that if they put out a Best of TNG Vol 2 and include "Where No One Has Gone Before", they'll screw up again and put the description for WNMHGB on the back?

To be honest, guys, I don't know if I would have picked these episodes for Vol 2... Now of course we could debate favorite episodes until doomsday, but I wonder how CBS came to pick these. Is there some fan poll they're working off of?

Speaking of doomsday, don't you think the remastered version of "The Doomsday Machine" would appeal to the demographic they're obviously going for (new fans who saw the movie who now want to see more of Kirk and Spock)?

I'm sure they are the remastered from what I remmenerd the last time I watched it. Though TNG looks the same as it was on tv, but TOS one is diffentaly remasterd.
