Spring: Sep 1 - Nov 30
Summer: Dec 1 - Feb 28/29
Autumn (Fall): Mar 1 - May 31
Winter: Jun 1 - Aug 31

There's some belief that Aborigines had a really complex season cycle, seasons within seasons, spanning decades (in the same way the moon has a 13-year cycle). It may hold the keys as to how to sue the climate here properly.
