Re: The Soul Key Discussion Thread <Spoilers>

This novel is a bit slow for me; even in the previous book, I thought the Ghemor part of the novel were slower than the Nerys section...

Aha! NOW I know why my nose itched and my ears burned--somebody's talking about me! :cardie:

(Sorry...never actually read this book, but I couldn't resist. Carry on. ;) )

Re: The Soul Key Discussion Thread <Spoilers>

I don't really have much to add. Read this awhile ago and already have forgotten much of it. Pretty disappointing.

Have you read The Never-Ending Sacrifice, Sxottlan?

If so, do I have to read The Soul Key in order to get into that book?

EDIT: Just saw your signature; it answered my question...;)

The two books have no direct connection. TNES is a "side story" beginning in DS9's second season and running parallel with events throughout the series and the post-series novels, but it has no references to anything that happens in Fearful Symmetry or The Soul Key.

Re: The Soul Key Discussion Thread <Spoilers>

Soul Key is not necessary for TNES, don't worry. :)

*breathes easily*

Thanks!!

Nearly true, although Ataan Rhukal is mentioned in TNES by Kotan Pa'Dar.

Re: The Soul Key Discussion Thread <Spoilers>

As is Iliana Ghemor, in a discussion about parents who don't know what happened to their children.

That doesn't make them connected, though.

Re: The Soul Key Discussion Thread <Spoilers>

Just finished this and enjoyed it. I wanted to get this in before I started the Typhon Pact for whatever reason. I hope they pick up the Ascendant storyline down the road. If not... just glad we have new lit.
