When a death of a Marine leads the NCIS team to a government think-tank filled with child prodigies, the team has to protect a 12-year-old child who may be the next target of the killer.

When a serial killer strikes in Los Angeles, it grabs the attention of Abby Scuito. She travels from Washington DC to give the team a hand, since she has been following this killer for some time.

No one tuned it to see another "Gibbs is good with kids" episode?

Or Abby on NCIS: Los Angeles?

Granted, I skipped the latter.

Well they did give us another Gibbs mystery - where does he go on Thanksgiving?

Kind of average episodes either way. Both involve a soldier being killed as a convenient way to do something else - Gibbs and the girl, Abby and the goth club. Seriously, they shouldn't even bother anymore. Have the teams quit NCIS and join CSI already. :p

It was also funny that, because they didn't get any of the actor's rights, Abby basically spoke to herself. I guess it's not worth paying the actor's money just to respond to her on a TV screen, but geez.

One thing I did notice was that NCIS:LA was written by "Speed Weed". Awesome name.

NCIS was good. Any episode with Gibbs and a kid is, though. Then again, the show pretty much always delivers.

Yeah, that kind of stuck out for me as well. Maybe it would have worked if she'd called him up on the phone instead, then it wouldn't have been a problem that we didn't hear his voice.

I watched the L.A. show because of Abby, but I'm not a regular viewer of this one. It's cool that she finally got some face time with the L.A. techie.

And I did like the "Gibbs-is-good-with-kids" episode, though his relationship with this particular kid wasn't as close as others he's gotten to know in previous episodes. I liked the ending with Ziva confidently taking the killshot, then Gibbs smiling at the girl as she hugged her Mom.

I would have liked it better if Abby had gotten the chance to beat the guy up, but since this was the NCIS LA show she had to be helpless and get rescued. The only reason I watched it was because Abby was on it, but I was playing Luxor at the same time because the show just wasn't that good. The characters just aren't growing on me much.

I adored this week's ep of NCIS. :D I don't watch NCIS: LA though...and probably never will.
Funny parts of the ep-where it involved Tony with Gibbs slapping him upside the head. Tony's a real charmer and absolutely histerical. And it was cute when Ziva literally jumped on the back of him and he was like: oh, neck cramp..NECK CRAMP!!! :guffaw: He's histerical. I forgot to mention the Thanksgiving scene in the end..that was really sweet. :D I'd LOVE to have a Thanksgiving meal with all of them together. :P I won't be on again for another week or so..next week's is a repeat..but am looking forward to another good season this year.
