Troubleshooting A Printing Problem

So could it be a cartridge problem even though the printer says both cartridges are full? Remember I tried two different printers and neither of them printed.

There's full, and then there's full and clogged. So yeah, it could be the cart, could be the nozzles, whether they're on the cart or a seperate unit.

What the real indicator that it's not a problem with the PC is that printing the test page from the printers internal electronics game you the same results: a blank page.

Ahhhhh. I should have asked these questions.

If the printer/cartridges aren't new, how long since they've been used?

If they are new, have you removed all the associated tabs and strips?

None of them are new. All of them are actually kind of old, I think one was refilled at least once. Two of them have been sitting idle for awhile, but the other two were the ones I regularly used. I guess I print a couple times a week.

Problem solved, but not by any ingenuity on my part. I just broke down and bought a new cartridge hoping that would be the problem. Sure enough. It was probably just that rare occurrence when the two black cartridges were clogged at the same time, and I probably don't know how to switch over to just using the color cartridge. I am happy now at least.
