What do kids think about TOS remastered?

I have to admit that I'm encouraged with all the younguns who are learning about the "good Trek." Good work, grups!
You ain't seen nuthin' yet:

This wasn't really done in Photoshop, was it? :vulcan:

No way, check the pixels! I probably could do it that way, but for what? I'd have to photoshop in the cardboard corrogation as well as the folds in the cardboard... you're talkin' a few hours. Not worth it for a goof.:shifty:
Just a BIG fan here, and the biggest fans have the biggest props! It'll be really awesome when it's painted.;)

^ Did you just blow up measurements from a toy phaser, use the TechManual specs and go from there, or did ya just wing it?

If you made your own working blueprints....well....I want a copy :D

Bingo. I just multiplied each measurement off a Diamond collectible by roughly 8. Sadly, only one person in my sculpture class knew right off what it was; my teacher thought the phaser I brought in to work off of was some kind of new hot-glue gun.:guffaw:

What about remastered episodes with the original FX? My daughter catch a few scenes here and there, but it doesn't hold her interest for any length of time. My girlfriend, howeverm who never cared about Trek before, made me buy season two right after we finished season one. Like I wasn't going to, anyway.

So I don't know about the kids, but we've got a new adult convert, and it had nothing to do with the FX.

Just asking! Talk about a picture being worth a thousand words! :bolian:

My 3 year old likes Spock and Worf. She doesn't have much interest in the rest of it.

If only Tinkerbell or Dora were in it...

My Son's opinion (which I share BTW) is that NuE is closer to Original E than the 80's refit E. AND, it's easier to play with and not break the nacelle struts. So, that's my final word on the subject.
*Goes to be a child with his new OS model, ha ha!*

Alot of them like TOS. One of my friends, who is 14, enjoys it. And I know alot of kids in England who likes Classic Dr. Who, even more than the new stuff, so I would not worry too much. Plus the new film is bound to spark interest in the original stuff. :)

I'm sure young people think classic Trek is "fail" and "pwned" and other good mindless shit like that.

No but seriously, I think the pacing of that show is too slow for most of today's youth. TV and film today is cut at too rapid a pace for charming ol' TOS to capture their attention for 42 mins +.

Mindless is right brother. I fear for much of the youth today!
