    Well, i got Band Hero...
Some nice songs, but still plenty of lesser known bands, just like GH5...
It actually shares DLC and the store with GH5/GH:WT...
So you can play Gor-gor by GWAR in family-friendly Band Hero...
    :wtf:

Songs of Band Hero i would like to see in RB2:

3 Doors Down, 'When I'm Gone'
    Alphabeat, 'Fascination'
Big Country, 'In a Big Country'
Cheap Trick, 'I Want You to Want Me (live)'
Corinne Bailey Rae, 'Put Your Records On'
Counting Crows, 'Angels of the Silences'

And eventually, I'm sure they all will be in it. No need for me to patronize Activision.

I got Lego Rock Band. "Summer of '69" and "You Give Love a Bad Name" make it worth while. A lot of people seem to be ga-ga over "Ghostbusters" though.

What's not to love about Ghostbusters? It's cheesy 80s music at its cheasiest.

I have to wait until the 27th for Lego Rock Band...
On the bright side, the import should be available around that time as well...
Though i will play the game first, then after finishing it, import the setlist into RB2...

Plus, if "I Want a New Drug" is ever released, you already know the guitar chart. [IMG]

So I'm playing Lego Rock Band and am totally taken my surprise that some chick teen pop group is singing a cover of "Real Wild Child." Also, I'm actually surprised how many songs I recognize upon hearing them even though I don't know the song name or the artist. It's also sort of funny how there are lots of rock songs (thus they're able to keep the name "Rock Band") when they're aiming for a younger audience. "Band Hero" on the other hand (what a horrible name; are they hoping to confuse someone looking to buy Rock Band?) might as well be called "Pop Hero."

While I mainly got this game to download the songs into Rock Band, one negative is that there aren't many songs! I don't expect them to pad the song numbers with quantity over quality like Neversoft does with unknown bands. For the audience they're aiming for, I'm surprised there's no Cheyenne Kimball or Carrie Underwood. And for older songs, where's Huey Lewis or Phil Collins?

It looks like DJ Hero is underperforming in sales. Of course, if it flops, all it means is that instead of getting DJ Hero 5 in three years, Red Octane will just be pushing out Guitar Hero 8, Guitar Hero: Warrant, Guitar Hero: Winger, Guitar Hero: Jonas Brothers, Kenny G Hero and Jim Brickman Hero.

I tried the online mode this weekend on Rock Band 2. I was working on getting some challenges requiring multiple band members completed, and I also substituted in a couple of bands. The interface works pretty well. The timing seemed different at first, but that could also be a matter of not having played these songs for a couple of weeks or so.

Maybe my experience was atypical, but there seemed to be a lot of disconnects and people playing at a harder difficulty level than they've mastered, causing more failures of challenges than I would have liked. I'll try it out again, but the best multiplayer for this game is still rocking out with friends around the same TV.

Well, went online for the first time last week, and i had a similair experience...
Me playing on easy might be a reason for some people to leave if they sub in my band...
Ah well, some play for fun, biatches... ;)

Also Them Crooked Vultures - New Fang get's released over the course of 3 weeks on the 3 consoles...
This week on Xbox360, next week on Wii, the week after that on PS3...

I wonder how Rock Band 2 works nowadays, given that the userbase must be completely fragmented. It's probably the only reason why I actually don't mind the fact that Beatles is locked down... although, I'm not willing to buy Abby Road. :p

My philosophy of online play for this game is that the bandleader makes the rules. If I'm subbing, I will do my best to help the player clear the setlist or challenge. Why should it matter what difficulty level the bandleader is playing on? Even if they've set their level to Easy, I can still play on Medium or Hard.

On the flipside, if I'm the bandleader, all I care about is that the online substitutes don't fail out. I'll save some Energy to bail them out if they are obviously struggling with a song, but it irks me if people choose a higher difficulty level and and then cannot deal with it, even though they can see the song list.

I was playing online again yesterday, and I saw that there were two Battle of the Bands challenges with 15 songs each. Not only that, but two of the bands I was subbing in wanted to play them. Doesn't that seem excessive? The 8-song Rock Immortal gig is the longest I would ever participate in or ask someone else to participate in during online play.

On the plus side, I did have a very fun experience playing with a (presumably) young lady who shares similar skills and musical tastes with me. It makes me wish for some way to correspond with people in-game or find them online later.

By the way, what determines the number of stars next to your band name in the practice area?
