How about, No! That was the worst take on Superman I've ever read. Nothing seemed on model.
Go with Byrne's Man of Steel as a template.

Krypton doesn't explode?

Also another reboot so soon would just confuse the average movie goer am afaird WB may of killed that franchise for possibly a whole generation.
Somebody get that fucking loser to some kind of directing classes first, he's a gigantic manchild with the camera. Star Trek was somehow watchable in spite of his involvement.
Wasn't his direction of the Lost pilot critically praised?
Lots of critics are just as stupid as the braindead fanbases so many properties enjoy.
After seeing Abrams fuck-up Star Trek I'd much rather he stay the hell away from Superman.Maybe i'm not thinking that hard on this, but I would imagine tackling a Superman film wouldn't be that hard of a challenge right after making "Star Trek"
I remember the draft that had Krypton surviving. I think having it survive only to be destroyed at the end while Superman looks on helplessly would be GREAT.
That would work.
A Brad Bird animated superhero movie - beyond his excellent The Incredibles, of course - would certainly be great. For that matter I'm surprised that no ambitious CG superhero project has been launched by anyone. Seems a natural fit, doesn't it?

Yes it does. I'm not sure what studios are thinking these days.
I just want a damn good film that sticks to the basics and doesn't go off into SRland.
No, but iconography is. It isn't really appropriate here, 'well established as iconic' would work better.Heck, even Lois and Clark's relationship is well established iconagraphy (is that a word?)

So do I, although I loved (and still love) Superman Returns.
