CBS cuts Numb3rs

Looks like the show is ending this year... but hey, for a Friday show paired with that Ghost Whisperer show... it's done pretty well for itself.

The format had its limitations. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. It's a pity the makers of House didn't note that once you start recycling stories it becomes a soap rather than a drama.

Well, they dropped the math and changed it into a typical procedural. Although, the last episode with "Section 44" or whatever was pretty cute.

My best friend and I loved the show for years but it is getting a bit tired. I love the Epps family and the rest of the cast. At least I'll have my DVDs to keep me warm.

That really ticks me off as I really enjoy this show. I'd rather they get rid of the crapfest that is medium.

It must be a salary thing like it was with Without a Trace and is with Cold Case. Better to start fresh because they're all kind of the same shows anyway.

I don't see why they just can't run smaller numbers of eps per season if it's money. Heck, do a 10 or 13 eps season.

I gave up on the show after the episode when they were looking for a terrorist from Pakistan. The terrorist wasn't from Pakistan, but was an Irish guy made up to be a guy from Pakistan. The completely innocent Pakistani office workers didn't notice the guy at all. Not only was his make-up perfect, but his accent was too.

While cutting the number of episodes ordered for Numb3rs, CBS has ordered additional episodes for some of its other shows this season. The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS, NCIS: LA, CSI: Miami, and Two and a Half Men have had their orders extended to 24 episodes for this season, while Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: NY, The Good Wife, and The Mentalist have had their orders extended to 23 episodes for this season.
