Ok, I've resorted to listening to one of my all-time favorites bits Nick Danger - Third Eye by Firesign Theater. part 2 part 3 This is what shaped my sense of humor when I was a teen, along with Monty Python, we had this memorized back and forth. Mr. Laser Beam might like this. :D

Flukie, you know I've got your back. The past few years have been really tough on me as well, but stay strong and focused. Things will get better, never as fast as we'd like, but they do get better.

Did you hear about the 3 legged dog that walked into a saloon in the old west? he announced he was looking for the guy who shot his paw.

Kid got a new train set for his birthday one year. He set it up and was running the train around the track full speed. He slammed it to a stop and said, 'All you sons of bitches that want on, get on; all you sons of bitches want off, get off!".

His mother came out of the kitchen and told him he could go to his room until he could speak like a gentleman.

About an hour later he came back, started the train up and gently stopped it in the station, announcing, "All you nice people that want on, get on; all you nice people that want off, get off. And if you're wondering about the delay, talk to the bitch in the kitchen"
 
I have your back too my friend. And I have also had a bad go of things for the last few years. But you weather the storm and get through it some how. Then you wake up one morning, realize you kicked ass and mark the board 100 points for you and 0 for the universe.

Wow! That's pretty cool! I was reading the comments and some were saying how fake and rehearsed it was, but the smiles and laughing of the people watching weren't, so it doesn't matter. :)

I don't know if this helps, but when I'm down I always cheer myself up with the thought that no matter how bad things might seem, they could easily be worse.

If that doesn't help, trying watching one of your favorite Star Trek episodes. That always helps me too.

I was working on the sales floor at Macy's this afternoon. A woman, carrying some merchandise - and her boyfriend - walked into my area.

Not realizing the true gravity of my words, I said to the woman "I can check you out whenever you like." I then realized how wrong that sounded, and hoped sincerely that the thought which had just entered my mind had not also entered hers.

The rest of the transaction was uneventful, but the event as a whole was funny.

Good luck with your life issues.
