Body Swap stones - How many?

Have tried searching for it but couldn't find anything but how many stones did we see initially and how many can be used at the same time? I'm asking because I was wondering why the folks on Destiny don't choose at least 4 background guys and swap with some SGC technicians and scientists to see if they could work on any problems that they've had so far. Might also help with information gathering for the guys from Earth as well, although they would have to retain the knowledge in there memory.

I realise that Icarus group would have contained the brightest of the bunch from the various sectors but having the assistance of those from Earth might help a lot more?

The original ancient communication device appeared to have a good 10-12 slots but the back-engineered human one seems to only support one.

No, they had two people going at once in "Air," and the platform has five circles marked out on it. So, I guess five is the maximum.

Why do you think the Destiny is so messed up? The ship was working perfectly before Lee visited.

There are 5 circular areas marked out on the stones "base station"; so I think it's safe to assume the machine can swap 5 pairs of people at ones.
