Disney's Rapunzel - early look

Seriously? :shifty:

Seriously, mate, I find it ridiculous that she grow her long hair, so her prince can climb up the tower! Very stupid, if you ask me!

...it's a children's fairytale.

Wouldn't it be painful if hair is pulling like that? How would children react at that? What if they're telling their parents that they wants to keep their hair grow that long?

Well, the story has been around for 200 years. I don't think it's been an issue so far.

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for that information to clearing things up with long hair issues from that story! But still, I find it so damn funny.

That may be why it seems in the picture that her hair is anchored on something.

Yeah, and for the kid thing...

A kid might say, "Mommy, I want my hair that long!" but in the real world it would probably take about 50 years for that to happen. They'd probably get over that urge.

It's funny - I was just talking to a friend last night about how much pop culture and tradition is being lost because the younger generation are not learning it.

Funny.

And as anyone who's spent any amount of time on the internet knows, one person is always a sure sign of a larger trend. Assuming, of course, it isn't some kind of joke in the first place.

Rapunzel is being made in CG as opposed to being 2D hand-drawn animation. But they are going to process it to mimic the "girl on the swing" Rococo watercolor from the 18th or 19th century, whenever.

So, while it'll be computer-animated, it'll be highly-stylized.

1767.

Jean-Honore Fragonard's The Swing.

I've always liked the part where she gets pregnant (without a clue) and the wicked stepmother tells her she's a slut! It sucks when they don't give 'em sex education even in an isolated tower.

Is her hair on a pulley in that middle picture? If so, that's hilarious.

I'm sensing an advertising contract after the movie comes out.

Silky smooth long hair with no breakage?

It’s not magic. It’s science.

Dual-Action Technology with the Advanced Nutrileum Complex helps lock moisture in and keep humidity out.

L'Oreal.

Because Disney Princesses are worth it.

Quick, trademark that shit.

Can't stop laughing!
