We need more TNG novels!

Jean-Luc, I hear ya. I wish there were more TNG stuff out and coming out.
I wouldn't mind a trilogy that took place BTDOD (before the death of Data).
I actually agree. I think I'd really enjoy something sort of like String Theory or Crucible, but for TNG; a big, epic trilogy to celebrate all the stuff that made TNG so awesome, set in whole or in part during the run of the show.
But saying I'd like to read more TNG is a bit different from complaining that there's too much TOS, since it really does balance out over time pretty well.

OMG that would be great, right? For me, TNG really seemed to end with "All Good Things..." It was the best TNG movie we got. Moore basically said it was superior to GEN, and I'm glad he did. The movies weren't as good as the series, and didn't come close to fulfilling their potential as epic big-screen Next Gen Trek, which was every fanboy's wet dream during the series.
I would also like some more TNG novels taking place during the run - particularly seasons 1 and 2 - of the TV series.
I would like to see some TNG as well. I have no clue how S&S work, but it seems that there are always "spurts" of books as opposed to a more balanced release.

^Those "spurts" happen when there's a reason for them, and it's not that hard to figure out. There was an emphasis on DS9 books in DS9's anniversary year, an emphasis on VGR books in VGR's anniversary year, and so on. There's an emphasis on TOS and Abramsverse books in 2010 because the Abrams movie about Kirk and his crew is a huge hit. In years without anniversaries or major events to tie into, like 2008-9, the schedule is much more balanced. (Of course the movie came out in '09, but the filmmakers' secrecy made it hard to arrange tie-ins until after the film's release.)
TNG premiered in 1987, so 2012 will be its 25th anniversary. It would be reasonable to expect the schedule for that year to be heavy on TNG (alongside Abramsverse material, since that's the likely release year for the next movie).

Bookshops prefer "spurts". The theory is that four similarly branded books coming in quick succession builds an identity, an expectation, a worthiness of setting aside a section of shelving for an event.
Shops don't want to make a fuss over one ST book a month when ST now encompasses events across five TV series, and three sets of movies, two timelines and three centuries. Especially when there's no new ST on the horizon until ST XII.
Put the books into clumps and they become more viable to the marketing people, and casual browsers. The regulars will buy 'em anyway.

If I'm honest about it, I'd rather pick up TNG where All Good Things... left off. Ignore GEN, FC, INS & NEM and let the Big E do what it was meant to, explore.

Except it didn't really do much of that in TNG. It started out in "Farpoint" with a mission to probe the great unknown mass of the galaxy, but after all the early writing-staff turnover, it ended up spending most of seven seasons wandering around known space on diplomatic and relief missions, with only occasional exploration.
Anyway, there's no need to ignore those movies, since there's abundant room between them for new novels and stories.
There's about 6-7 months between AGT and GEN and then Worf leaves, and the Ent-E isn't really the kind of ship you want exploring. It's too menacing. It looks like a warship. I want to see the Ent-D do some serious exploring. It was what, the Cygnus Reach you coined in TBA that the Ent-D was supposed to explore after EAF? Why not a trilogy/miniseries exploring the Reach...See a little more of the crew before the departures and death of the others.
Me either. Or one giant book exploring Data's life from the time he was activated until he died.
If I had talent for writing other than my own creations (and I'm struggling with that), and I had a hope in hell of getting it sold, I might try to do it myself.
