Two Deaths that did not quite add up

Jadzia's death was so... stupid and unnecessary... First of all, the way she died... Even Braga could write something better than that simple death... This was worst than 'accident' with Tasha... Second off all... Come on Sisko, your friend died... Cry a little bit!

Data...
To be honest... This death actually had a sence...
But not the reactions... I almost laughed...

:cardie: Did we watch the same show? Sisko was broken by Jadzia's death. He talked to her dead body. He felt responsible for what had happened, and he decided to give up his post and go back to Earth and his dad's restaurant, because he felt he had failed Dax and everyone and did not feel able to continue.

That's a much stronger reaction that shedding a few tears.

Yes... but that wasn't like I wanted him to react...

I'm guessing that was meant to be 'that wasn't how I wanted him to react?'

If it is, well....tough? not to sound like I'm dismissing your opinion out of hand, it just seems odd for someone to expect every fictional character to react how you think they should, it would make things wholey too predictable.

If Sisko had just shed a few tears at the time, then carried on as if nothing had happened, that would have been far more disconcerting than what we got (which I found quite believable). Maybe Sisko isn't the type to cry when he grieves in that situation, or at least not now, since he's (unfortunately) getting 'used' to losing people through violence.

I dont see Spocks resurection as a cheat, though it focused on vulcan style mysticism, it brought mystery and deepened my appreciation for his character and his people. Just think what would trek be or go today with out the illumination of the stars that is S P O C K
