Electric bill in one-bedroom apartment

Fair enough. In any event, you misconstrued what I said earlier -- I said it was not unheard of for a landlord to multiply the pet fee by the number of animals being brought into the unit. If the fee is $300 to have a pet (fair enough, since it sounds like a decent enough unit), then $900 for three pets, while a bit steep, is not unreasonable.

 Tell that to landlord's manager. She's the one who informed me that.

I'm not going back and looking, but did you mention if the $900 was refundable or not? Is there an additional monthly pet rent?

My old apartment had a $300 one-time non-refundable pet fee, plus an extra $10/month in pet rent.

My current apartment has a $500 pet fee, but half of it is refundable when I finish out my lease.
