Apple should name more things after Apples

Does anyone agree? I mean, we have the Mac[intosh] line of computers, but what else is there?

Their operating systems are named after big cats, and lord only know where the "i" came from. I feel like the company shouldn't even be called Apple anymore.

That said, I am hereby going to name my iPod "Braeburn."

iDon't know if iAgree with any of this. iThink their names are fine as it is. iLike the cat names for the various OS releases, since the actual operating system really HAS no name... but iBelieve that the iMetaphor works best.

The "i" originally stood for "internet" and was first used with the iMac. With the introduction of the iPod you could argue that it either stood for "lowercase i that we really like now" or that it now stood for "I" meaning "me." Of course, with the iPod Touch and iPhone now having internet access, it's original meaning is a little more true again.

They need to start selling Apple II's again. For $666 (the price of the first models sold), I actually might buy one just for the novelty of having it. The computer industry has lost alot of the charm that it had back when it was a bit simpler, but I won't forget the fun I had playing games on a green screen, such as Pac-Man, and text adventure games that tended to go something like this:

"You have entered a large room; shelves full of books line the north, east, and west walls..."

I also occasionally appreciate the days when car phones were built in, and roughly the size of an entire payphone booth.

^^That's what I thought they'd do too..."Safari" is kind of a dumb sounding name, I think. Not as cool as "Firefox" or "Chrome," but I suppose still more interesting than the truly imaginative () "Internet Explorer" and "Netscape Navigator."
