Warehouse 13 - worth it?

I've watched 4 eps now, and I'm not impressed.

I like the idea, I like the Warehouse, I like Saul Rubinek, I like the retropunk keyboards and stuff (and I r3eally want one of those keyboards, which you can buy, apparently).

I CANNOT STAND the field agents! Frankly, they are portrayed as a pair professional fuckwits who shit me to tears. They are unattractive and immature.

So the question is, do they get better? Do the eps get more interesting? Does the thing ramp up a notch?

Cos it ain't really doin' it for me so far.

Not really. There are more interesting ones, and less interesting ones but it more or less stays the same quality all the way through.
I haven't watched the season finale yet though.

^Yeah, I'll agree with Bob. The shows are all about the same level of semi-serious mixed with silly fun. Personally, my wife and I enjoy it a lot. I guess it's up to individual taste.

I think the quality improved as the season went along. A villain was introduced. Another cast member added. More background mythology. These all improved the show.

I gave up midway thru the premiere. The casting was uninspired, and that's the only thing that could have salvaged the blah premise and middling writing. It's just too damn mediocre for my tastes, like most of the crap skiffy churns out.

In my ongoing hobby of mocking Unconvincing Shooting Locations, I was amused by their version of the South Dakota Badlands...what was that, some kind of mining pit? The Badlands are a frakkin National Park. They're a bit more impressive than that. What's next, they scene in an irrigation ditch and call it the Grand Canyon?

Not quite as howlingly funny as Bionic Woman's attempt to pass off Vancouver as San Francisco, but well worth adding to my Top Twenty list.

I think Warehouse 13 is OK, but mostly because of Saul Rubinek. The two leads are indeed dull as dishwater. However, the show definitely picked up once the "big baddie" was introduced and the season finale left some interesting questions open.

I'll continue to watch, at least for a few more episodes, when it returns.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the male agent's childish behavior either. It's like theyt told him to watch the Stargates, and emulate O'Neill and Shepherd's casual flippancey. And then the guy doubled what he saw. And kept going. It's kinda become a cliche.

I feel the same way, the had a horrible casting crew for the show. Same with Fringe, can't stand the FBI woman so I only watch like every third episode.

But it stays the same, it's a stupid show to watch 20 minutes of and can understand everything perfectly.

The funny part is-the lead guy played one of the most memorable parts on Bones.

The gal played a hell of a role on Jeremiah.

I really enjoy this show, too - and I also can't wait for next season. I missed the first three episodes, though, so I'm hoping they'll replay them as an introduction to the new season.

Everybody has an absolute right to his or her opinion, of course, but I really don't understand how anybody can dislike Pete or Myka to the point that the entire show becomes unwatchable. I am not doubting the sincerity or the reasoning of those who say they do - don't think I am implying that. I just literally don't understand it. No, they aren't absolutely lovable characters. That's what makes them interesting to me. If they were absolutely lovable, it would become an action-adventure cartoon, and I personally don't find that kind of show interesting enough that I'll dedicate an hour a week to watching one.

I really like the combination of slightly annoying characters - characters who are annoying in a comprehensible sort of way - with fun goofball action. A lot, apparently.
