Olivia- You know, going to another universe and altering the course of history? that's cheating.

Bell- A trick I learned from a friend.

Now I'm confused. I thought that Liv was 'plucked' from our universe when she was in the elevator after leaving the restaurant. If Bell pulled her out of the car, where did she end up at?
Is it possible that from the moment we saw Olivia swerve to avoid the accident she was in the other universe? In our world the accident happened, but Bell plucked her....wait, but then she went to the restaurant...and in the elevator she....But Bell said he....Er...

Oh hell, now I'm confused.

I thought Anna Torv was awesome in this episode. Her painful moments, like springing out of her seizure and in her fight with Charlie, were really well-realized.

Oh, and I applaud the writers for not dragging the Charlie thing on for half the season.

Voted "Excellent".

I still hate seeing Anna playing second banana in the promo pics.

The casual references to drugs cracks me up, a little cannabis will help you sleep.

Pretty good episode, a bit of a return to form. I didn't notice "Fringe Division" this time.

When Olivia drive to NY to meet Bell, there was an interesting flash of light when she was in the car. I thought something happened then. And I guess that's when she was plucked to the other universe.

The later shifts in the elevator could have been caused by her disorientation from universe-hopping - kind if like she experienced in the Bell conversation recall.

I gave this episode an Excellent - best so far this year. And it looks like perhaps the recurring villain for this season has been introduced. (Like the german guy last year)

EDIT: Yeah the drug references are interesting. I'm surprised that they get away with so much drug material as they do. :D

So Theresa Russell is still hot. I'm guessing her role isn't done since 1) she never got to use her power, and 2) she obviously remembers dead Peter as a little boy which may clue mirror universe Peter to his true origins.

Olivia is so freaking stupid! I hate her! God she is why I stopped watching the show i nthe first place, I just can't stand her and the "acting".

Did anyone notice that in the scene where Olivia is walking out after talking to Nina/after getting the text message, when she is at the door she is wearing a black skirt.

She must have been plucked on the drive over there. The flashes in the elevator must have just been "time slips" like when she was talking to Bell.

^Yeah, she's an Aussie--Rupert Murdoch's niece by marriage.

I had NO idea she and Mark Valley are actually married in real life.

Anyway, I liked this episode well enough. It was good to see Theresa Russell again. I am very interested in seeing the eventual reveal that Peter is from "the other world."

It is strange seeing Roger Cross from 24 in this show. But I did get a giggle when he mentioned the "First Wave," as he used to star in THAT show, too.

I'm glad fake Charlie is dead. Still, it makes the entire cast look like morons. :p
Why should it? Not-Charlie had incinerated the body. In all outward appearances, he was identical to Charlie. The only point-of-reference they had was the 1st shapeshifter device, which was broken, and the body (or was it just blood?) of the person that tried to kill Olivia. How would any of that have pointed to not-Charlie? From their perspective, "Charlie" wasn't behaving too abnormally.

I think this is one of those 4th Wall things, like in the slasher movies when the audience knows the killer is right around the corner but the oblivious victim just walks right into it.

I do think that the main trio of characters are each a little self-possessed lately, especially Olivia (though probably with good reason). Being self-absorbed tends to blind people to what's going on with others around them (I sense an Astrid arc marinating). The old, not-the-starchild Olivia would probably have noticed that Charlie, not exactly the most sentimental of people to begin with, was a little off.

But I don't think even that makes them look like morons, just absent minded.

Maybe it's the American accent. I have the same problem with Hugh Lauries's House. She speaks quite differently in her native British.

Melbourne, England? :p
Is that the town where they slip meat pies on the barbie.

I certainly hope so. I like Astrid a lot; as the much-put-upon assistant to Walter, she has really brought an appealing presence to the show. And yet, we know NOTHING about her, other than the fact that Walter keeps getting her name wrong. I would love a glimpse into her life.
