New Series Logo to be unveiled on Oct 6

Trouble is it'd be too much like procuct placement, unless the Beeb used generic plastic bricks(and there are such things). Now I'm imagining an army of Action Men into the bargain!
Oh know it's attack of the toys from the local market... *other toys are available

I guarentee it'd be a better episode than Fear Her

Only if it has delicious Doctor/Amy sexual tension. ;) Say what you will about "Fear Her," but the Doctor/Rose scenes in that one were fun. Those two were flirting their asses off.

Well, meh. But I guess I'll get used to it. Would really like to see it in action, though.

And sentient Lego FTW! :bolian:

It'll take a while to get used to it, but I think it's kinda cool. And fun! Something new to look at!! :D

The logo's too pale and the floppy hair is terrible

Congratulations Mr. Moffat you fail.;)

Are we seriously going to talk about fonts now? if so I'm gonna run out of suggestions pretty quick, I mean I know the basics Comic Sans, Times New Roman, Hellvetica Bold.

If it's not Courier font size 14 i'm bailing

I'm still buzzed about DW coming back, even after 4 years! Logo?! As long as it says Dr. Who, and there is a show following it, I'm happy!

I've hated how LEGO has become more focused on tie-in sets and less on original sets (space, castle, aqua, etc.) but I would LOVE to have some Doctor Who LEGOs.

Ya know, when I was a kid, I just used all the various LEGOs and made up my own tie-in sets, like Star Trek. I remember using the space LEGO bodies for the original series and the police LEGO bodies, which had a zipper flap similar to the monster maroon TWOK uniforms, for the movie era.

I kind of like the new logo and the blue makes it easier to look at IMO and it does look pretty retro to me too.

Thus far there's absolutely nothing about the new version that's an improvement on the Davies era. Perhaps that will be in the stories.

Here we are, then...

Oh I like that. I like that very much. So much more appealing than the current one.

I would like it alot more without the lens flare. Of course, I guess one could argue that it's appropriate to continue having a logo torn from 1995 placed on a 2010 time travel show.

I was about to mention the lens flare, too. Maybe they fired up Photoshop after a staff day out to see Star Trek.

The text block is fair enough, just looks like a redux of the logo used on the classic DVDs. The TARDIS shaped "DW" is a crime against graphic design though. Ugh.

It's a logo. It's okay.

No. No. A thousand times no. Been there, done that.

Actually, the one thing we haven't seen is the Doctor have an actual relationship.

But, there again, if "Silence in the Library"/"Forest of the Dead" is any indication, Moffat is going to change that with Dr. Song. :bolian:

Other than the superior logo, and the fact that Amy Pond is nicer eye candy than Rose, Martha, or Donna (all of which I loved dearly, to be clear).

You honestly think Amy is more attractive than Rose and Martha? Hm. I suppose I can see it with Rose, but Martha just presses all the right buttons for me. Amy's so skinny; poor thing looks like she has little boy hips. But, hey, different strokes for different folks and all that.

.... no pun intended there. Really.
