    Re: ENT Bluray pricing?

As a Paramount release you can count on it being somewhere between $60.00 and $70.00 a season. Which is far better than what I paid for Enterprise on DVD.

Enterprise visual effects season 1 upconverted from standard def.

I've answered trevanian's quote from another subforum here
To tell you the truth I was at a studio yesterday in midtown Manhattan and I saw a current issue sitting with other magazines. It was subscribed to the studio tech guy.
You can read current Millimeter articles here:
    http://digitalcontentproducer.com/

Scroll down to the bottom and you can read articles from EVERY issue back to 1997. I just did a quick search for the article with that answer:

Tales from the HD Trenches Mar 1, 2002
scroll down to "Colorist in a Hybrid World"

John Carroll, the show’s online editor at Level 3,
and in 2005 they did another article on Enterprise visual effects and the tech specs of the pipeline while shooting on HD video:
    Breaking the Comfort Zone
    Mar 1, 2005

    let me repeat

    That is season 4 (2004-2005)!

So guys and gals who want to nitpick the HD picture when the Blu-ray comes out in a couple years it will be the matte shots that will most likely show up as low resolution.

As far as additional commentaries I'd love to hear from some of the ENT actors as well as director of photography, visual effects supervisor, writers, production designer, music composer, episode director, producer

On Broken Bow alone they could have 2 more commentaries.
I'd love for them to have commentaries on all the best ENT episodes since this would probably be the last official CBS release of ENT on home video.

Maybe they could get some more stuff from Entertainment Tonight who is also under the CBS Corp./Viacom umbrella from 2001-2005 with set visits and Interviews of the cast during that period.
I'd love to see all the official EPKs (Electronic Press Kits) put out by Paramount TV at the time the show was in production from each season.

Possibly some stuff from the Star Trek conventions during the 2001-2005 period where the ENT cast spoke and see some fans in ENT fan-costumes would be good to see on the Blu-ray.

I think most of us would like to see any screen tests they did with the cast before Broken Bow was even in production in 2001.

If any of the episodes had any additional deleted scenes that were not on the DVDs...

If this happens, I would like them to at least keep the cast interviews, the deleted scenes and bloopers (or outtakes, whatever their called).

Since all the special features on the DVDs were in standard definition I would want all the stuff from the DVDs of each season + new material since the standard definition videos don't take up nearly as much room as high definition video special features...

A note from the Star Trek bluray, perhaps a feature on the Starships seen throughout the series (Earth, Vulcan, Andorian, Etc...), and what went into them in designing the shapes, sizes, colors, etc.. and 'themes' each species has to why their ships look a certain way, the color(s), the hull pattern (or lack thereof) and so forth.

Perhaps in indepth (or something along those lines) interview by the intended staff of (the would be) season 5 and the storyline plans proposed.

Speculation but from someone who knows how the home video market works.

When you say "TPTB" (The Powers That Be), who are you referring to? Was this something official that Berman did to try to get Enterprise onto another network?

With CBS.com putting ENT in 1080p HD online that is a good sign as they did the same thing with TOS-R episodes before the Blu-ray release.

I'd like to see as new special features on the Blu-rays a bunch of 2001 archival interviews and Entertainment Tonight set visits and behind-the-scenes footage.

hey what would you guys like CBS Television to create as "new" special features to make the Blu-ray eventual release worth buying?
I'd like to see some new retrospective interviews done with the cast and crew including editors & music composers.

The DVD set is pretty impressive upscaled.

Yeah I know it looks leaps and bounds better than TNG, but if the Blu-ray is around the corner I would be pretty annoyed to buy the DVD now.

True. I love my TOS Blu-ray set, but then again... you could probably pick up all four seasons of Enterprise on DVD for what one season will cost on Blu-ray.

I dont know.. .all 4 seasons cost roughly 200€. I doubt they would charge THAT much for a single blu-ray set. TOS cost about a third of that more or less I think.

What kind of HD new interviews will they be doing?
ENT last did them in 2004 for the DVDs.

    7.1 surround mix?

My wish for the Enterprise BDs is that they include extendes cuts of some episodes. As I recall, most of the deleted scenes were very good ... I wish they would be put back into the episodes.

Can we get a thread merger? :techman:

You don't see them at startrek.com no more... In addition to each of the episodes chosen for the short season best of run, there were 3 or 4 general series wide promos, intended to reintroduce audiences to ENT.
