It's fashion week and Castle and Beckett get to see what happens in the background as they investigate the murder of a model.

Pretty good, though I figured out who did it at 25 minutes into the episode. I realized they kept getting their leads from the husband, and they only had his word for some of it. Although I was wrong about him being behind the faked stalking.

And I figured right off that the glass obelisk-shaped murder weapon would turn out to be an award.

I don't know, at this time last week the thread hat just 4 replies (33 in the end).

I've watched this episode this afternoon and enjoyed it, but I often comment later upon a second viewing and as replies. :)

I really liked this episode of Castle this week..I almost missed it though as I was doing other things around the house but thankfully had the time to watch it. Love Nathan Fillion in it! :D He's freaking hilarious..but he was also histerical in "Serenity" and his "Firefly" show. :)

He was good in Slither and Two guys, a Girl, and a Pizza shop (later just two guys and a girl).

As for this week, I loved it. I thought that the whole is he hooking up with the former babysitter or not, with the end of him "just offering a friendly place of support", as well as Castle's building anger and disgust at the husband who betrayed his wife, went to further show how under his slick, eternal teenager, playboy persona beats the true heart of a honorable gentleman. I also thought that the banter between "the team" was handled really well. I still think the other two Detectives are under used, but they are showing that there is the chemistry there for them to be brought up "full time".

My least favorite episode so far. Something just didn't click with me, and when they were talking to the husband the first time, they kept giving him these really weird looks and I figure out from that first scene that he had something to do with it.
I also hate the whole 'fashion' scene, so that didn't help either.

^

I dont' know I thought it was the best so far. I loved the funny. Love the family interaction!! I have a on stage death! It is great popcorn tv.

I wouldn't put it down as my favorite of the year, but I liked the family interaction in this one. Thought the other two detectives were good too, looks like they have some ammo against Beckett now, curious to see how they end up using it. I liked seeing Castle's softer, more mature side too.

I still can't believe how "normal" the writers are treating the characters. Nobody is way too emotionally scared. No crazy teenage rebellion thing. Just good honest clean fun. I feel defying gravity could learn a thing or two from Castle.

I really think that comes from Nathan. He's almost feeding that "clean fun normal" into the project.

Speaking of which, anyone follow his twitter? He sent one out today about John Frakes.

"Johnathan Frakes is directing. Yesterday, he called me Number One. My heart made a noise that sounded like awesome."

See, I'm complete opposite. I LOVE the fashion scene and have always thought that putting together a clothing line event/show would be absolutely divine and hot! :D I didn't get those models' eyelashes though..anyone see them things?! They were extremely too long..how could these girls see??

I was pleasantly surprised that Julian Sands didn't turn out to be the killer. I figured they wouldn't have cast a "name" actor unless he was going to have a big, scenery-chewing confession scene in the end . . . .

So when does the first "Nikki Heat" novel hit the shelves . . . and how long till the inevitable episode where someone tries to turn "Nikki Heat" into a trashy tv show?

Joss Whedon shows up as a trashy TV producer who wants to make a sleazy Nikki Heat primetime series.... starring Summer Glau as Nikki Heat? :p

Ok... That would be funny as hell. :guffaw:

I'm sure they'd do it too.

Since the new book is completed, but not yet released, why is Richard Castle still around the precinct? I would figure the city would want to minimize liability by getting him off the streets as soon as possible.

Plus he has no real reason to be there. His research is complete.

I would really like to see them deal with this point, but I am guessing it will be ignored.

Enjoying this show, it's hitting the rights notes of funny, sweet, and a bit of mystery/detective work. Characters play really well off of each other, and Fillion is fun to watch in this role, he seems to be enjoying it.

I'm usually time-shifting it to Tuesday night because it's on at 10pm, there's NOTHING on Tuesdays, and I'm using the DVR to watch HIMYM, House, Two and a Half Men, and TBBT, which usually takes me to about 10:30 anyway. Wouldn't miss one, though, and glad that the show seems to have hit a decently solid rating level, and seems fairly safe in that spot for the time being :)

That would be fannish gold!

Or: what if they cast Castle's flaky actress ex-wife as Nikki?
