I have been browsing the net and I have discovered that some people cannot wink! I had no idea that some people can't do this and I was wondering if there is anyone here who can't.

Also can you or can't you

1) Do the Vulcan salute. If you can, with both hands or only one. I belive that Zachary Quinto has difficulty with the Vulcan salute.
2) Go cross-eyed
3) Click/snap you fingers
4) Speak Pig Latin
5) Roll your "R"s
6) Roll Your tongue
7) Whistle (or whistle well)
8) Rub you tummy while patting your head

I am pretty hopeless.

I cannot go cross-eyed, cannot click my fingers, cannot roll my "R"s roll my tongue, cannot do the Splits. I am a poor whistler and I have forgotten Pig Latin. I can do the Vulcan salute easilty with both hands, I can wink and rub my tummy while patting my head.

I think i have asked some of these things before but it was quite a while back and we have new people since then adn I have expanded the list.

Yes to all of them, but I can't do a split anymore. My ex-gf can do Russian splits though, those amazed me while making me cringe at the same time.

I can do that. I honestly had no idea it was such a big deal. Once when I was in college I was taking music lessons and the teacher found out I could do it. He literally ran into other practice rooms calling people in so they could verify. Confused the heck out of me...

7. Very badly. I can only whistle the traditional way too, by putting your lips together and blowing. I don't even know how people whistle in other ways.

9. Not even remotely. I used to be able to put my foot behind my head though. Now I can only get it to the top of my head.

One thing I can do is snap my tongue. You push your tongue hard against the roof of your mouth and slide it off. It makes a really loud popping noise. I used to do it all the time as a kid and people never knew how.

That is very interesting. I will have to look into it more.

We are pretty certain that one of my sisters is a tetrachromat. She can certainly distinguish between shades of colour much better than the average person. Also both of her sons are color-blind (as is one of my three sons).

If one cannot wink, then it is possilbe that they have some severe muscular damage and/or deficiency. I mean, how can you not close one eye for a brief second?

I can't do the Vulcan salute on the "correct" hand -the right one- my pinky and my ring finger won't go together. I can do it perfectly on my left hand.

Thanks for that link. I heard about that condition once, but forgot the name. When I read about it I thought I always had a mild number-related case of it. Ever since I knew what numbers were I associated them as being "hot" or "cold". Hot numbers were like 3,5, and 6. Cold numbers were 2,4,7,9. 1 and 8 were kind of in the middle. Hot numbers were associated with bright colors like red, orange and yellow. Cold numbers were blue, or green, or black. Brown would be a hot color though. Strange that there are such specific and odd disorders in the world, but they are definitely shared by different people.
