NFL Football 2009

I find your lack of faith disturbing.[/QUOTE]

My mom's priority # for Broncos season tickets is below 10,000. She and dad were in the stadium for the vertical striped socks and mustard yellow jerseys.

The first player I remember was Floyd (should be a hall of famer) Little.

I prefer to think of it as realism. :D

I'm the only person I know who thought going into the season the Broncos would be decent. They have 4 games against the train wrecks in KC and Oakland. And they still have a game against Washington. And they usually find a way to take 1 from San Diego.

Orton is a serviceable QB and he's got some weapons on offense.

They have a tough schedule coming up against Pittsburgh, NE, Baltimore, NYG, etc. If they can find a way to win 1 or 2 of those games, they could go 9-7.

The big question is the offense. The Defense can stop the other team as much as they want, but if points don't start showing up on the board for Denver, then it won't matter. Yes, Denver has posted 2 20+point weeks, but it has been lots of field goals. They need to get into the endzone more regularly.

Oh, they'll beat Washington. The Redskins lost to the LIONS, remember. :p

Orton was great for the Bears. He was the one that took them to the playoffs a few years ago and was really on a roll before they let Rex Grossman come back and ruin things.

Hey, the Lions are good this year! They may win up to six games!

Which is likely 4-5 more than the Browns will win. Man ... that team just seems to have NO heart at all!

Agreed. They're doing good so far in terms of things. I hope that they can win up to six games as well. That would be nice to see :).

This isn't about realistic expectations, it's about having blind loyalty to the home team. :)

Obviously, they're better than the Redskins. :p

Yeah! It's been a long time since I've been able to say the Lions are better than anyone. I doubt they win in Chicago on Sunday, but that would be pretty sweet to see.

I'm also loving the fact the Lions have the same record as the Steelers.

No offense to you Niner fans, but I'm hoping Michael Crabtree suffers a career-ending injury while he's holding out. That would be the ultimate lesson learned.

Of course, I was hoping JD Drew would suffer such an injury while he was playing independent ball because he rejected a contract. And now he's an overpaid underproducing multi-millionaire.

Why should I be offended. At the time I was happy they drafted him. Since, it's gone nowhere but down and I hope he doesn't sign. 49ers don't need him, even though it does suck if it's a first round pick wasted, since we did trade the second round pick to Carolina. Maybe it might work out for the best but I really hate to see teams waste a first round pick.

As an unrepentant Seahawks fan, I shudder to think what awaits them playing the Colts at Indianapolis this week. :( That issue is compounded by the fact that so much of their offensive and defensive talent is out with injuries, and here we are only three weeks into the regular season. Though I appreciate Wallace’s efforts and his experience subbing for Hasselbeck, pitting a backup quarterback against the likes of Peyton Manning can't end well. :scream:

Gah, it’s going to be another loooong Sunday.

^Yes, but you got the awesomeness of the lime green jerseys last week. That's my Superbowl right there. Those things were so sweet.

They were eye-catching, I'll give you that. It might have been a more effective fashion statement if they'd pulled off a win, however.
