Fox needs to move American Idol/Dance to Thursday, have Fringe and Dollhouse togeth on Tuesday and Bones on Wednesday.

Very respectable numbers for FlashForward, Bones, and Fringe. The rest I don't watch. And damn but NBC is getting spanked.

It was stupid of Fox to put Fringe on thursday. I gotta say The Vampire Diaries are holding nice and steady for The CW. It's actually not a bad show. Not great but not bad. Has held my interest more than that crappy CBS vampire show ever did.

Re: TV Ratings (Thursday & Friday 1st/2nd October)

Fox must see they need to move Fringe and now or it will die and why let a promising show just die a bad death. Also to let you know friday ratings will be posted in this thread tommorow.

For comparison, here's Thursday's broadcast networks' final ratings, per Travis Yanan at pifeedback.com

Grey's Anatomy, CSI, Private Practice, the Mentalist, Flash Forward, The Office, Bones, Community, Parks and Recreation, Jay Leno, and Supernatural all rose. Gotta love it when the god awful crap Grey's Anatomay performs so well in the demo, eh?

Survivor: Samoa and Fringe lost viewers. Vampire Diaries stayed even. The scariest statistic? At 3.52 million and 2.595 million viewers, with those finals that's the best viewing total of the week in both hours for the CW network. How does it stay afloat in all the red ink?

No, Fringe gained viewers from last week and has a solid demo. It'll be fine.

6 million and a 2.3/6 demo for a show with a modest budget and from the ratings it got in season 1 + Bones brings in a large audience = Not rosy at all for Fringe.

Fox would be smart to move it or to remember its up against CSI and Greys but neither is likely.

No, I meant it dropped from fast nationals to finals. If Fringe were on CW, those ratings would be more than fine. It's on cancel happy Fox. I don't care for the show, but others do. I don't know why Fox is willing to sacrifice it. For Fox, that's not such a solid demo. Thursday at 9 is the death slot. Grey's and The Office suck away all the young "we want that demo" viewers, and CSI takes the rest. The reality show Fox had in the time slot did better.

Fringe should move back to Tuesdays. It did better there.

The only show capable on FOX to take on CSI and Greys is HOUSE and IDOL. I do think House would knick a good portion of the demo and total viewers from both shows.

Too true, but Fox wouldn't be willing to eat into its profits from Idol to put it on Thursdays, methinks. House and Idol do seem to be the network royalty.

Why Grey's has such a hold on network tv just galls me. I've watched it. It is so unbelievably bad. Just soapy crap beyond description. Dr. McDreamy has got to be the most unattractive "sex symbol" on television and Meredith.....ohhhhhh.....don't get me started on whiny Meredith. :scream: Meredith is not what the womens liberation movement fought for. :guffaw: She's worse than Ally McBeal. I've complained about the House storylines from time to time, but compared to Grey's Anatomy, it's pure gold.

Leno fell below 5 million, isn't that what they said the cancellation range for it would be? Too bad that Parks is crashing and burning I enjoy that show.

Nah, I'm not too worried about it. I don't think FOX is going to discard an Abrams show just because of a bad time slot. The show never got HUGE ratings and now it's up against CSI and Grey's Anatomy so it's not a surprise. The ratings sites I visit say it's not doing all that bad all things considered.

Trust me, if I was worried I'd be emailing FOX nonstop.

I heard that other networks are telling their stars not to appear on Jay Leno's show. Anyone else heard that?
