I actually posted this on the General Discussion area without realizing there was a sub-forum dedicated for this. This is just one of my side website projects that I occasionally update.

http://trekannoyances.com

It's currently hosted under my original domain, but I might eventually get dedicated hosting. Not your typical Trek site, more like just a bunch of rambling...

I enjoyed this a lot :).

Good content, important because content is king.

As for the layout, I would find a way to get some of the articles above the scroll when viewed at 1024x768 res, maybe some sort of two column setup with recent content. The site title at the top or something else in the header should be clickable to take you to the homepage. A separate contact page might be useful if you want to have that PGP encryption thing on your website. It takes up a lot of space... maybe you could implement a javascript show/hide function like the spoiler button on this forum. You might also add an external link to some information on exactly how that works.

Thanks for the feedback on layout. In this case, I intentionally avoided the multi-column design. I didn't want this to be like a blog. The site's just a place to throw casual rants onto whenever it suits me (for fun whenever I watch the show and get irked by something). Oddly, the site's actually more for me than anyone else, but I figure some people might relate to the content so I just post it online from now on. I'm trying to keep it very simple as a two-level site; kinda lazy in that way.

The PGP / GPG thing is kind of funny... I didn't post a link or summary a "how-to" for it so it semi-discourages folks from sending messages, although no one needs to actually encrypt messages to reach me. I've operated other sites in the past where I've had to deal with a ton of e-mails before and I don't have a lot of time these days. A few messages are OK, but this is just an informal way of crowd control.

I did consider a JavaScript expand / toggle function for the GPG key display at one point like I do on my other sites ... maybe I still should. I'll get to it when I get to it...
