Clark tells Jor-El he's ready to start his training, but Jor-El sends him back to Metropolis to cut ties with Lois before he can begin. Chloe is shocked when Lois suddenly reappears after having been missing for weeks, but Lois has no recollection of vanishing into thin air with the Legion ring. While investigating a monorail crash, Lois meets John Corben, a new reporter at the Daily Planet, with a negative attitude toward the Red-Blue Blur. Chloe begs Clark to use the Legion ring to go back in time to save Jimmy, but he refuses, driving a wedge into their friendship. Meanwhile, Oliver continues down a dark road, and Zod arrives at the Luthor mansion.

First new Smallville of the Season.

^ That's what he gets for being mild mannered for so many years. Those kind of labels stick with you.

Well, after a very mediocre Season 8 finale, I'm hoping for better things with this new ep. Sounds like they plan to cram a lot into this first show.

See you guys in another 14 hours or so.

:techman:

This is puzzling, especially since it sounds like this occurs before Lois makes her return. I would think that given their history, Jor-El would want him to cut his ties with Chloe over Lois.

Could this be a misprint or typo? Guess we'll find out in an hour.

Maybe Jor-El is a Clark/Chloe shipper? After all, Chloe did profess her love for Clark to him when she was appealing for him to restore Kara's memories back in season 7. And he was moved to grant her request because of it.

I find myself wondering if Jor-El isn't ultimately responsible for why the Legion knew nothing about her or that she was an important part of Clark's life. They knew about Lana, the football jersey and other details... Yet they didn't know who his best friend was from this same time period. It's both odd and disturbing, as it suggests the possibility that she somehow becomes erased from the timeline.

Or that the Legion came from a future in a different reality.

Whoa, if it weren't for Procutus's PM to remind me of the premier tonight, I would have missed it, thanks bud

Hi Everyone

So far, the teaser has been much, much better than the whole of the finale. And the background music reminded me quite a bit of Batman/Dark Knight.
