NBC is looking to get knocked down by Fox in the ratings. I bet once AI starts up NBC will be dead.

I would be shocked if CW continues for another year. It will either die or see major overhaul of the executives.

Does every topic need to be about how The CW is gonig to die? It's not gonig anywhere, we said it would die the last 2 years.

Anyways i wish Glee would do a little better. However once it's on after AI it should do a lot better.

Also the ABC numbers are useless because once ABC moves the show away from that dumb dancing show the shows will be canceled.

I think NBC will be very pleased if Leno puts in 6 million viewers 4 or 5 nights a week

The New Adventures of Old Christine & Gary Unmarried 7 million seems low CBS, very telling statement

Winners...
Criminal Minds, CSI: NY, Dancing With the Stars, Modern Family and Cougar Town
A Mixed Bag...
Eastwick, Mercy, Law & Order: SVU and Glee
Losers...
Old Christine, Gary Unmarried, The Jay Leno Show, So You Think You Can Dance, Next Top Model and The Beautiful Life

Round-Up...

A weird night if am honest with some  results, for example...

* Mercy pulls in solid numbers for NBC but with a demo you would expect to see with a show getting 5-7 million. The same can be said for L&O SVU too...NBC why has the 18-49 demo left you?

* Glee on the other hand pulls in a demo that is punching over its total viewers rate. The only question is what do FOX prefer...Viewers or Demo, well the signs say the demo since Glee has been given a full pickup by FOX.

* The biggest mystery remains how The CW is still around with those results and with Top Model dropping like a stone, its worrying times ahead but am sure somehow CW will stick around

CBS ruled the night despite an average 8-9 hour, which I said didn't work last year and it won't work this year. They maybe cheap 22 mins comedies but CBS does not settle for those ratings especially when on Monday the comedies lowest ratings are in the 8-9 million range and 3.0-4.0 demo.

Good starts for Modern Family and Cougar Town but if Modern Family begins to faulter, Coguar will follow (partnerships like that depend that the 1st show gets a good lead in for the 2nd comedy).

Jay Leno remains a loser with those numbers despite how little it may cost to produce.

Modern Family and Cougar Town are pretty funny. ABC's only weak link comedy wise is Accidentally on Purpose. Don't expect that one to last.

The only thing I watched was Cougar Town which I found shockingly funny. Courtney Cox is basically playing Cordy from Buffy if she was 40, which is hilarious.

I love seeing NBC shows getting lousy demos. That makes Heroes' S5 more and more likely. :rommie:

They're not "solid" numbers if the demo is bad. The demo is all that counts. NBC's fall lineup is a snoozefest so no wonder only granny is watching.

NBC needs to figure out how to make a popular, young-skewing but hard to measure and monetize show like Heroes work, because that's their future and everyone else's future too on broadcast TV. They cannot beat CBS at their own granny-chasing game (and that's a losing game long-term anyway), which is why their dull, CBS-esque fall lineup is bound to fail.
