Yeah, that's the one. I still well up at it.If i remember correctly, is The Visitor the DS9 episode where Sisko visits Jake through time? I haven't watched DS9 in years (except for a very brief "i'll give it another chance, months ago).... if thats the one i am thinking of, i do remember friends of mine being very moved by it while i wasnt.
Like my mom always says, "Thats what makes horse racing."
I love it to - I don't really have anything to add aside from that. It's a wonderful episode.
Cyke's tip for the day:
Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT listen to the Inner Light orchestral suite and "Married Life" from the Up soundtrack back to back. Unless you want to lose half your body moisture through your tear ducts, that is.
This lovely video uses it (made by CristopherPike, btw). I don't know the title though.Cyke's tip for the day:

Know the title to the orchestral suite to the Inner Light? Id be interested in finding that.
Because it's the way technobabble should be used in a story. It emphasises the uniqueness of Trek in being used logically as part of the story rather than just the copout ending device. The Visitor, well I did find it a little funny that Visitor employs the same usual technobabble that others decry in Trek but here there's no problem with it.

I certainly don't love it. It isn't bad, but I find it overly touchy-feely and slow paced to the point of boredom. Is there anyone that doesnt love this episode?
