How I Met Your Mother: Barney and... (Spoilers ahead...)

Well I just had to post something here.
I am firmly in the Barney + Robin = Suckage camp. The goofy way he was looking at her at the end of the season finale when they were talking about how all the things you love flash before your eyes? Gawd...it was like Barney's second awesome gland had been destroyed in the accident or something.
Robin is great as Barney's wing "man". That's the Barney-Robin relationship they should pursue. Coupling them off just reeks of leaping over a certain type of large predatory aquatic creature.
Still, I love this show, for the most part. I'm very glad they're getting a fourth season (best thing Britney ever did for humanity!). I think if the demos hold up (it's CBS's youngest skewing show) then they'll likely get that fifth season too, half hour sitcoms with 100 eps are still syndication gold. And for the record, I don't think Stella is the "Mother" of the title. I think it's going to turn out to be someone close to her though. And if I'm right, I'm so going to blog about it!

I don't think Stella is the mother, but I think it would be nice. I hope that they end the show either this coming season or the next so that they end it on a high note. Kudos to a great show.

The new season started tonight. I haven't seen the episode but I read that Barney is in love with Robin.
Damn. I knew I forgot something.
I loved the ending. I thought it was perfect the way they allowed Barney's "thing" for Robin to continue, but not at the expense of letting Barney be Barney.
Great performance by the always excellent Neil Patrick Harris, and I thought it was a nice touch that they actually used the real music from Star Wars instead of a sound-alike.

Finally got around to watching this...

Okay, it's been almost a year and a half since this thread as well as the possibility of a relationship started. The season 5 premiere aired and it looks like Barney and Robin are in full-on relationship mode, albeit with a twist designed to milk whatever humor and oddball drama they can out of it.
Yeah I'm still not crazy about the pairing, but the episode made it seem fairly plausible. It'll be interesting to see where it goes (and hopefully they don't soften Barney up too much in the process).
And man, Robin and Lily looked very... busty tonight, didn't they? lol

I've noticed that too, especially Alyson's bosom.
There were pregnant at the beginning of the year, so it still shows their motherhood.
The episode was quite okay, I forget how over the top the characters sometimes are, especially for an american sitcom.
We'll see were they go from here.

You must have missed the last episode of the last season.
I haven't watched the show since Ted and Robin first got together at the start of season two. I guess I've missed a ton.
He completely failed with that, which is the reason he (grudgingly) accepted the teaching job.
