The fact that the premiere hasn't been hyped with a retrospective special, nor have copies been sent to critics to review (a first for Heroes I think) doesn't bode well. I'll check it out for the carnival angle (though it may make me miss the vastly superior Carniavle).

Episode begins with another pompous speech.

Season 1 was great. The beginning of the end though was the disappointing Season 1 finale.

So wait, I thought that Hiro couldn't use his powers anymore without risking his life?

Adrian Pasdar is good as always and it's nice to see Peter doing heroic things. I'm sure the latter will not last.

EDIT: You know, it's not bad tonight.

So these carnies are supposed to be this seasons' main antagonists, right?

It's too bad. I thought the actor did a good job.

I think that Sylar either imprinted part of, or copied his consciousness into Matt.

Peter seemed more Peter Parker. Probably because of the police scanner.

And the barren apartment feel. Like he's a strapped for cash type.

Who is the actress playing the tattoo woman?

You know, I don't know how everyone else felt but I really enjoyed it. Thought the storylines were a lot stronger, the lack of Mohinder was a major plus, the characters came across more strongly, and even the carnival freaks are pretty good. Thought Sylar was hysterical tonight, ripping on Matt.

Negatives...more "heroes" being manipulated and Hiro making yet another stupid decision.

too bad it looks like he wont be doing much this season. :(

Not a bad first 2 hours but it probably wont be long before it goes off the rails.

That's my feelings too. Still, I thought tonight showed what the show is capable of when written correctly.

Someone at TWOP has coined the term "HeadSylar".

I couldnt believe Sylar actually did point at a hero and call him a loser after I had joked in this thread earlier about him doing exactly that!

anyone notice the book the algebra teacher was reading? is that a hint at what's to come(Zombie Nathan anyone?)

Weren't these threads considerably more active with the east coast viewers? Did that many people jump ship?

Best line..."He's twenty pounds overweight, he has high blood pressure, he's a walking heart attack weighting to happen!"

How about the guest stars? T-Bag, Darth Maul, and Simon the Cylon. Kneppar (I don't know his name) and Ray Park were quite good.
