How Many Novels/Stories Dedicated to Marco and Margaret?

Just curious, how many novels or stories within anthologies where dedicated, at least in part, to Marco Palmieri and/or Margaret Clark by their authors?

I recall seeing such acknowledgments in two or three cases, but my memory is terrible.

It just occurs to me that I've rarely seen editors get such an honor, in print in a book, from the authors who work for/with them, and so with Marco and Margaret now summarily kicked to the curb by S&S... just something I was thinking of.

TO REIGN IN HELL is dedicated to John Ordover "for ten years of expert editing."

And I'm definitely going to thank Margaret in the acknowledgments of my next Trek book.

^Speaking of your next trek book; do you have one in the works that's not on the schedule?

Unworthy is dedicated to Marco. That dedication is expanded upon in the acknowledgments, and Margaret's fine work on the project is noted as well.

I haven't dedicated any Trek books to Marco.

However, I did dedicate my forthcoming StarCraft novel Spectres to him (he hired me to write that one, too), and I also dedicated The Art of the Impossible to his son Benjamin, who was born right when I started writing the novel.

To the best of my ability to remember, I have not dedicated any of my novels to any of my editors. I might, however, dedicate my Typhon Pact novel to Marco and Margaret (and perhaps to the other fine editors of my acquaintance, as well).

I've got a story in the upcoming SEVEN DEADLY SINS anthology.

And just this morning I signed a contract to write a novel set in the timeline of the new movie, based on an idea originally conceived by Margaret.

So, yeah, I'll definitely be thanking her in the acknowledgments!

Congratulations! :)

Is this the first time you've mentioned the news, thus filling in the last of the four novel slots...?

I guess I won't be, now...

Yep, I didn't want to jinx it until I had actually signed the contracts, but the outline was approved a while back.

Lonemagpie, I also thought the fourth Abrams novel was going to be yours. I'm surprised by this, and sorry you missed out on the gig. Hopefully you'll get another shot.

But Greg, welcome aboard!

Didn't mean to be the bearer of bad news. I didn't know you were also in the running.

Hopefully, there will be more Abramsverse novels down the road . . . .
