I feel kind of sorry for them they haven't got a hope in hell yet they are so passionate. It's a shame really.

It was a good (mostly) show. I'm sorry it ended, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. It's not like it's Doctor Who or anything. :D

Well, all their rumbling over the months have led to some mentions of a possible DVD movie release a la Dead Like Me from a couple of the stars.

Doesn't mean it'll happen, but... In reality, if they did nothing there'd be no hope. "No fate but what we make" and all that, in their attempts to bring back the show they actually are giving it some hope to return--not a lot, but it's more than if they did nothing.

I'm the exact opposite! :p I wouldn't give a hoot if Doctor Who was canceled, but I still miss TSCC.

I don't care about either, I just want Pushing Daisies back! :rommie:

But if T:SCC had given me a better sense of what John & Sarah & their merry band was trying to accomplish, you know, some battle plan involving the terrain of the greater Los Angeles basin that would preserve the human race as we know it, I think I really could have gotten into it. It just struck me as too much random action/soap opera/more random action.

Like the show up thru the Writers strike. When it came back it had lost it's way.

Too bad really, I thought they had something going there. All the actors and the production crew are gone. Someone tell me how the fans think their going to put it back together?

It took trekies a decade to get TMP made, and their numbers were huge!

The hope to produce another season are small to none, I believe the main focus is to get straight to DVD sequels like Dead Like Me or The Lost Tales. Those would require shorter commitments for everyone involved.

WE NEED MORE FIREFLY. WHY ISNT THERE MORE FIREFLY? FUCK FOX.

It was heading that way anyway, might as well get it out there. :p

Only took the browncoats 3 years to get Serenity made, and they were comparatively tiny.

And the Trekkies had nothing to do with getting TMP made. Star Wars' success, coupled with Paramount's bean counters greed was what did that.

Fans of many shows who think their favorite died premature deaths now point to Serenity as the hope of what can happen.

When TSCC died I said T4 would determine the future of the series. The chip was destroyed.

Cult members are still trying to save Firefly/Serenity.

Some people just really need to get a hobby.

So where's the second movie?

Trekkies..........11
Browncoats.......1

I, personally, am not involved in this - first off.

However, I wish them luck. Truthfully though I doubt that it'll happen. The Terminator franchise is in a lot of trouble from what's been recently said.

1.) The Halcyon Company - who holds the rights for the franchise - are being sued by their financial backers who want ownership of the Terminator franchise rights.

2.) Arnold has mentioned that he has been in negotiations to purchase the rights to the Terminator franchise.

3.) McG's proposed Terminator 5 is still greenlit (it was not terminated as people thought) and he's already working on the script with the same team as Terminator Salvation. At the moment it's been said, even by McG, that he's planning on changing the terminator franchise again and having Connor go back in time. He claims that he's considering combining the two storylines into one (since JD will be moved yet again in his new film).

these people are nothing, in the UK, we have a group of people who want to bring back a soap character killed off (on screen) 6 months ago

they went as far as putting some flowers & teddys outside the TV studio along with a big banner saying "Gone but not forgotten bring back Danielle"

a thread about it

http://www.walfordwebforums.co.uk/prod/topic/8609-danielle-jones-shrine-at-eastenders-set/

meanwhile Torchwood fans are trying to bring back a character, by donating money to Children In Need (why cant more people do that) and have so far raised £7,213.00

As well as leaving flowers at the Torchwood Hub, and the usual letter sending to the show, the fans also sent coffee to the BBC as well.

Ah, passionate fans. Gotta give it up to 'em. As long as their passion doesn't reach downright embarrassing proportions (a la ENT)...

I don't know if they haven't reached that point yet. From what I've been hearing they're going to have a billboard driving around LA trying to drum up interest in the series, they handed out stickers at Comic Con, they're going to have promotional displays up in several cities.

They're actually reminding me of that episode of Frasier where there's a group of people trying to get Frasier back on the air and they hold a rally... and no one shows up.
