What makes America great?

I love America so much! Everything is great in my opinion :P . I hate living in the UK, Its cold and boring.

The east coast girls are hip, I really dig those styles they wear. The southern girls, with the way the talk, they knock me out when I'm down there. The midwest farmer's daughters really make me feel alright. And the northern girls with the way the kiss, they keep their boyfriends warm at night.

I've been all around this great big world and I've seen all kinds of girls, but I couldn't wait to get back in the states with the cutest girls in the world! :bolian:

Well, we've made some good TV shows. The Great Gatsby and American Gods were two fantastic novels about America so we'd have to put them on the list as well.

I'll trade places with you. I always wanted to live on the English moors where it's always raining and foggy. You can come live in Southern California and get all that bad for you sunshine.

What makes America great? Its ability to self-correct peacefully. Too bad somtimes change is a bit slow.

The fact that the founders of the nation in an imperfect world facing an unknown future created the blueprints for a free and democratic nation. The idea that people are "created equal" is ingrained into our society where such a notion is offensive in other cultures. The U.S. was drown in slavery and manifest destiny--- but they had still planted the seeds for freedom.

The USA gets way too much bad press worldwide?

I…agree? (BTW, three bars of gold pressed latinum says neither of us has been outside the country.)

What in your opinion makes this country great? For me its the constitution and the small things, burgers, coke, mickey mouse, rock music, high concept action movies, NASA, DARPA and so forth.

Yeah, the constitution is probably important. :p I've heard you can't get burgers or coca-cola in any of those socialized countries, 'cuz they ration greenhouse gas emissions and carbonation. And Euro Disney? Forget it! If the government determines you're no longer a productive member of society, they take you behind the Rocket Rods and club you in the kneecaps after forcing you to pay for an abortion.

[N.B.: I'm kidding.]

Actually Coke is better in Mexico. It's made with real sugar there.

^ Meh. I've had both, the difference is negligible as far as quality goes. It tastes slightly different, but which is better is a matter of personal taste.

Actually, Coke is better in 1891. It's made with real cocaine back then.

True. I go back in time to 1891 every few weeks to buy a new batch. :techman:
