what TV shows should exist, but don't?

I want a steampunk show similar to the Victorian/Edwardian flashbacks in Torchwood about Jules Verne-style tech during the decade 1900-1910, possibly based around an investigative team like Warehouse 13 who seek out the unusual or possibly try to keep Western Civilization on a track that won't endanger Humanity. I can see it now-an episode where Our Heroes divert investment/development efforts away from electric cars because it could lead to a better understanding of atomic theory due to the development of hydrogen fuel cells-thus leading to a quicker development of atomic weapons. The episode would wrap with Our Heroes happy that autos would be powered by gasoline, giving the Human Race more time to learn mastery of itself before the power to harm the planet as a whole becomes ours. *snicker*
That would be great. :bolian:

How about a detective show with two detectives who constantly argue about everything? Preferably with John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson as the two heroes.
A show about a pack of gnomes living secretly in a humans house. Fighting with the mice over the food they drop, avoiding the humans who see them as vermin, visiting the gnome oracle (Gnomes take their religion very seriously), torturing the humans for candy...

^ well, then, how about a cop show where the detectives are best friends, who always follow the rules, and who get along great with their CO? That almost never happens in TV.

I'd like to see a GOOD show about Clark Kent growing up to become Superman... where the villain who knows Clark's secret isn't defeated by one punch, is left unattended and unguarded yet doesn't escape or rat out Clark.

Thank you. Shades of Brisco County Jr. ;)

A series faithfully based on Asimov's Robot Novels, starring Michael Dorn as Elijah Bailey and Connor Trinneer as R. Daneel Olivaw.

A show about a merry band of gay prostitutes who are abducted by genetically engineered, hyper-intelligent pigs and forced to join an elite hit squad who, each week, must track down and kill a beloved historical figure.

A TV adaptation of Planescape: Torment. Starring Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as the Nameless One. :D
