The brewery in main engineering. Nothing else was nearly as bad as that.

 

Kirk trying to talk to Uhura when his tongue and hands were swollen.

 

Spock and Uhura's relationship.

 

After 4 times, I still can't watch Amanda's death

 

The parts of the movie not set on the Enterprise after Nero approaches Vulcan.

 

I truly loathed the Kobayashi Maru scene - not the way he won, but the twerp-like way he acted as he was winning. Almost everybody else seems to have loved it, and I don't mean any disrespect to them (or to Chris Pine) when I say how much I hate it, but I thought it made Kirk look like an arrogant and immature jerk, not at all like somebody who ought to be made captain anytime soon.

I liked the movie a lot, but that scene just made me want to smack that apple out of his hands (yes, yes, I know the apple was one of those nods to canon - I don't care) and say, "Behave yourself! You want to be a Starfleet officer, you should stop acting like a smart-alecky teenager."

 

Everything except the end credits and the opening.

 

Ditto for me!

 

The only thing that really made me cringe was Nero's "Spoooock! Spooooock!!". I know what they were shooting for, but in that particular case, it just sounded terrible.

 

Kinda all of the above.

Autopilot offline. What was already stupid in Nemesis (self destruct offline, just so someone has a contrived reason to commit suicide) was again repeated in the first five minutes of the new movie.

"Thrusters on full."

All the contrived catchphrases they forced in there.

The bar scene.

Sulu not being able to start the warp engines.


And the Kobayashi Maru thing is one of the worst scenes in the entire movie.

 

I thought Kirk still not knowing Uhura's first name after three years was a little strange, even for a running gag.

Yeah, exactly. You can beat the system, and even annoy your superiors, without being a...well, as you noted, "jerk" is probably the most polite term. So why make him act such a juvenile dilinquent?

 

Robau staging his death for no particular reason.

That and the brewery. Specifically that room where Kirk found Uhura,with the beer taps coming out of the walls. I guess Starfleet likes to keep the women folk liquored up.

 

I think the Kobayashi Maru wins for me too. But a close second is the Uhura-unwittingly-strips-to-her-very-21st-century-underwear-in-front-of-Kirk scene. It wasn't classic Trek sexy, it was like cringemaking fourteen-year old boy fanservice.

Sulu's sword fight was a bit cringe-inducing too, but I forgive it because Cho's so darn cute.
