Sorry for butting in Warped9, I was out of line to presume to speak for you. I simply thought the Photoshop thread in "General Trek Discussion" was a more appropriate place for folks to display their talents without taking over your thread.

Way back when I first began this it was posted in the Arts forum. Then later when I revived it I did so in the TOS forum because the vast majority of stuff I did was TOS, TAS and TMP centric. The mods seem to have no problem with that.

I find the later Treks don't seem to lend themselves to well to this little hobby of mine, but then that's from my perspective.

No probs. Right from the beginning when I started this some years ago others lobbed in some of their photo manipulations.

This little hobby initially began out of my speculations regarding what things might have been like if TOS had somehow magically had access to more time and better '60s era feature film calibre resources than what they actually had available. My perspective is that a lot more than may be imagined could have been done, but that it still would have been aesthetically consistent with their live action footage.

I admit that this has some bearing on my general dissatisfaction with TOS-R because in my eyes it looks near completely wrong. In some cases TOS-R shows things that might likely wouldn't have been possible even with the best resources the '60s had to offer. And this is in addition to being aesthetically inconsistent with the remaining live-action footage.

I wouldn't have minded if, for example, they had the Enterprise doing cartwheels TOO much...even though that isn't in line with the best they had in the 60's. Something cinematic and movie-quality in the battles, for example, would have been nice. But otherwise I completely agree with your point and I'm glad to see others making it besides myself.

Oh come now, nobody's insulting you. You're a worthwhile member of the forum. But at least you have a general idea of how I felt when you wildly accused me of doing stupid and unnecessary things in this thread in a midguided attempt to "protect" Warped9.

AWESOME picture! I really like the addition of a young Donald Pleasence as one of April's officers. It's really fantastic how, when you pick actors to represent other characters that we didn't see on TOS in your photoshop images, you pick actors who were contemporary with the television show and active in the 1960's (instead of picking someone like Brad Pitt to portray April, for example). It really makes it seem like the images we're seeing are actual screenshots of "lost" episodes rather than fan-made photoshop pictures. Absolutely genius!!
