"I know of your fondness for antiques."

Chris, i think the oldest stuff i have is the Mego Bridge set with some of the figures, and TMP lunchbox. Someday i hope to own the original domed lunchbox (hoping to find it at a yard sale for a quarter, LOL). I also have some 60s puzzles.

Please tell me you have the domed one and if so, i'd love to see a picture of it.

If Chris has one I'll arm wrestle ya for it! (no worries - I'm a 100lb weakling! I can still wish!)

Easy pickins..... :)

Sorry, no, I only have the themos from it, and it's hilarious, the costumes & phasers in the drawings on it are all wrong.

I'll bet its pretty sweet though. And youre halfway there...

The only thing I have is David Gerrold's The World of Star Trek. Now ask me about Buffy and LOTR. :guffaw:

As a Buffy fan, I'm officially askin'.:techman:

Yeah me too. Major Buffy fan here as well.

Another neat thing i have is a MAD magazine that did a Star Trek spoof. Gawd, how i loved Mad!

Sad to say, but I guess this now sort of counts as an "antique." I have one of the original writer's guides from TNG, from about 1986. It features the android who's name rymes with "That-a." According to this guide he was constructed from unknown aliens. No sign of Worf at all. Ryker - Yes, that's how it's spelled in this book - has a hard time dealing with female crew members because he's trying too hard to treat them as equals.

That would probably have to be my Enterprise bridge set with the entire TOS crew in it. I technically bought it back in May to replace the set I had (and lost) as a child, but that set is still roughly sixteen years old.

I don't really have any Trek antiques, per se, but I do have some recently-purchased VHS tapes that look pretty beaten up, including the special longer edition of TMP and The Menagerie parts 1 and 2. Perhaps the oldest non-VHS Trek item that I own is a dinky little plastic model of the USS Enterprise-E that I bought on Ebay or a Borg cube of mysterious origin that my sister gave to me. Other than that, all I own is the replica of the Enterprise from XI, which, being the mindless Trekkie that I am, I bought despite the $30 price tag and the fact I'm probably not going to see the movie until the DVD comes out later this year.

I often wait for the DVD, but the exceptions were Trek & Serenity.
The NuE toy is cool, no?:techman:

This thread brings back some long, long ago memories. Alas, between the ex and ravages of time... I no longer have much left.
All of the models are long gone, but there's still a first-printing copy of David Gerrold's book about the making of "The Trouble with Tribbles" around, plus a few of the James Blish adaptations of similar vintage.
OH! I have some Blish adaptions! AND some of the old "Photonovels." You know, where they took frames from the shows & added word baloons to produce something like a comic book of the eps?
*goes to hunt thm down in his closet*
I had photonovels! I loved those. I wonder if I still have any? *checks own closet*
But I also have an authentic screen-used tribble from "The Trouble with Tribbles", with a letter signed by David Gerrold to say it was the very last one found in his garage!
He told me that one, too. I bet he says that to all the fans...:alienblush: Actually, that is an enviable keeper.

I had one of those "guides". By the time I became involved in creating my series, it was already pretty useless.
I think I saw The Making of Star Trek and a few Blish novels awhile back. This thread has me longing for my old Trek stuff.
