For those of you who took advantage of the Tech Guarantee program when Vista was around, did you get a replacement full install CD or just an upgrade CD? And has there been any word of which we'll get with Windows 7? I'm thinking about picking up my cheap tide-me-over $40 video card while Newegg has discounts on buying Vista & one of them. However, since Windows 7 upgrades cannot be installed on a bare system, I'll wait if I wouldn't get a real Windows 7 disc.
So Microsoft has done away with the compliance check where you just chuck the install media into the drive and it would then proceed on it's merry way?
